Desde de febrero hasta junio se presentan altas concentraciones de ozono en la Zona Metropolitana del Valle de M\u00e9xico, lo cual puede ser perjudicial para nuestra salud.<\/h4>\n

A mediados de febrero y hasta junio se presenta en la ZMVM la Temporada de Ozono, que se caracteriza por la presencia de sistemas de alta presi\u00f3n en el centro del pa\u00eds, asociados con masas de aire con bajo contenido de humedad, poca nubosidad y registro de temperaturas y radiaci\u00f3n solar.<\/h4>\n

Las anteriores son condiciones que favorecen la producci\u00f3n y acumulaci\u00f3n de contaminantes secundarios de origen fotoqu\u00edmico como es el ozono (O3).<\/h4>\n

El ozono es un contaminante que se forma por reacciones fotoqu\u00edmicas en la atm\u00f3sfera baja a trav\u00e9s de dos principales precursores: los \u00f3xidos de nitr\u00f3geno y los compuestos org\u00e1nicos vol\u00e1tiles.<\/h4>\n

Las altas concentraciones de este contaminante ocasiona importantes da\u00f1os a la salud como afectaci\u00f3n a las v\u00edas respiratorias y alveolos, exacerba las enfermedades pulmonares y cardiovasculares, reduce la funci\u00f3n pulmonar, agrava el asma, provoca cefaleas, alteraciones en el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico y puede ocasionar muerte prematura en la poblaci\u00f3n expuesta a altas concentraciones.<\/h4>\n

Por lo anterior, la CAMe exhorta a la poblaci\u00f3n de la Megal\u00f3polis a mantenerse informada acerca de contingencias ambientales, a trav\u00e9s de:<\/h4>\n
