Ahora, con 23 a\u00f1os, tiene un un empleo en el inventa\u00a0<strong>tecnolog\u00eda para los m\u00e1s necesitados de su pa\u00eds<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Remya Jos\u00e9<\/strong>, una joven hind\u00fa originaria de Kzhattoor Panchayat, fabric\u00f3\u00a0<strong>a sus 14 a\u00f1os<\/strong>\u00a0una lavadora de ropa que funciona con un pedal. Los m\u00e1s incre\u00edble es que dicha m\u00e1quina fue\u00a0<strong>construida con partes de bicicleta<\/strong>. Es por ello que actualmente concentra sus esfuerzos en crear aparatos que ayuden a los habitantes de pueblos como el suyo.<\/h4>\n<h4>Como dicen \u201cla necesidad es la madre de la invenci\u00f3n\u201d. Debido a que\u00a0<strong>su madre enferm\u00f3<\/strong>, Remya tuvo que encargarse de las\u00a0<strong>tareas de su hogar<\/strong>. Entre el quehacer y la escuela, la vida de la ni\u00f1a se complic\u00f3, lo que la llev\u00f3 a pensar c\u00f3mo aliviar la carga de trabajo.<\/h4>\n<p>\u201cLa necesidad es la madre de los inventos y eso es lo que pas\u00f3 en mi caso. La escuela quedaba bastante lejos y cuando volv\u00eda, sol\u00eda estar muy cansada y no ten\u00eda ganas de lavar la ropa. Quer\u00eda algo que pudiera usarse sin electricidad. Entonces observ\u00e9 en detalle el funcionamiento de las lavadoras el\u00e9ctricas y cre\u00e9 un modelo que pudiera usarse manualmente\u201d, confiesa la joven.<\/p>\n<h4>Remya sorprendi\u00f3 a su padre con el dise\u00f1o de la lavadora. As\u00ed que ambos se pusieron manos a la obra para conseguir las piezas necesarias. Para ensamblar la m\u00e1quina, la joven recurri\u00f3 a los conocimientos de los trabajadores de una tienda de autom\u00f3viles.<\/h4>\n<h4>La bicilavadora<\/h4>\n<h4>La m\u00e1quina consta de una c\u00e1mara de aluminio, dentro est\u00e1 un cilindro hecho de gruesos alambres, conectado a una cadena de bicicleta, con su biela y un par de pedales.<\/h4>\n<h4>Su\u00a0<strong>funcionamiento es extremadamente sencillo<\/strong>: el cilindro gira mientras el usuario de la m\u00e1quina pedalea. Por medio de un grifo se drena el agua jabonosa. Finalmente, se recomienda llenar la m\u00e1quina con agua limpia para poder enjuagarla.<\/h4>\n<h4>A sus 18 a\u00f1os, Remya Jos\u00e9 fue galardonada con el\u00a0<strong>Premio Nacional<\/strong>, conferido por el entonces\u00a0<strong>presidente<\/strong>\u00a0Abdul Kalam.
