Tambi\u00e9n se llev\u00f3 a cabo tests cuyos resultados indicaban que quienes se sent\u00edan m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes, no solo mostraban mayor cantidad de materia gris en \u00e1reas clave del cerebro, sino que sol\u00edan tener mejores puntuaciones en los test de memoria, consideraban tener mejor salud y ten\u00edan menos probabilidades de mostrar s\u00edntomas de depresi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan explica Jeanyung Chey, l\u00edder del estudio:<\/p>\n<p><em>Hemos descubierto que la gente que se siente m\u00e1s joven posee las caracter\u00edsticas estructurales de un cerebro m\u00e1s joven. Esta diferencia segu\u00eda siendo s\u00f3lida aun cuando se ten\u00edan en cuenta otros factores como la personalidad, la salud subjetiva, los s\u00edntomas de depresi\u00f3n o las funciones cognitivas.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>La hip\u00f3tesis de los investigadores es que aquellas personas que se sientan mayores a su edad podr\u00edan ser capaces de detectar el proceso de envejecimiento cerebral, ya que la p\u00e9rdida de materia gris har\u00eda las tareas cognitivas m\u00e1s complicadas.
