La lujosa marca brit\u00e1nica\u00a0Burberry<\/strong>\u00a0admiti\u00f3 apenas hace un par de meses que quem\u00f3 el equivalente a 38 millones de d\u00f3lares en mercanc\u00eda no vendida, con el \u00fanico proposito de\u00a0\u2018mantener el estatus de la marca\u2019<\/em>evitando que sus productos cayeran al mercado negro o se vendieran en ofertas de liquidaci\u00f3n.\u00a0Con los problemas ambientales, sociales y de recursos\u00a0a los que\u00a0nos enfrentamos actualmente, la marca fue severamente criticada por diversos grupos ambientalistas, e incluso inversionistas de la propia firma\u00a0quienes no\u00a0entend\u00edan\u00a0por qu\u00e9 no pod\u00edan acceder a comprar los productos antes de ser destruida.<\/p>\n

A pesar de ser una practica que llevaba a cabo a\u00f1o con a\u00f1o, la marca anunci\u00f3 recientemente que dejar\u00e1 de quemar la mercanc\u00eda no vendida, probablemente como consecuencia de la critica social.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, asegur\u00f3 que tambi\u00e9n dejar\u00e1 de utilizar pieles animales en todas las gamas de sus dise\u00f1os, siguiendo el camino que han tomado otras marcas de lujo como Versace y Gucci, algunas de las pieles mas utilizadas por\u00a0Burberry<\/strong>\u00a0proven\u00edan de conejos, zorros, visones, mapaches asi\u00e1ticos entre otros.<\/p>\n

Marco Gobbeti<\/strong>, director ejecutivo de la marca se encuentra en un proceso para\u00a0reposicionar a la firma de acuerdo a los nuevos consumidores que exigen que la industria sea mas sostenible.<\/p>\n
