Allison y el japon\u00e9s Tasuku Honjo fueron galardonados con el Premio Nobel de Medicina 2018 por sus trabajos que revolucionaron el tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer, anunci\u00f3 este lunes el jurado.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Nobel.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12031\" src=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Nobel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"899\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Los dos cient\u00edficos fueron premiados &#8220;por su descubrimiento de una terapia contra el c\u00e1ncer mediante la inhibici\u00f3n de la regulaci\u00f3n inmunonegativa&#8221;, declar\u00f3 la Asamblea Nobel del Instituto Karolinska de Estocolmo.<\/p>\n<p>La terapia inhibe las prote\u00ednas generadas por algunas c\u00e9lulas inmunitarias, as\u00ed como algunas c\u00e9lulas cancer\u00edgenas.<\/p>\n<p>Las prote\u00ednas pueden evitar que las defensas naturales del cuerpo maten las c\u00e9lulas cancer\u00edgenas. El objetivo de la terapia es permitir que el sistema inmunitario act\u00fae m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido para combatir el c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So\u00f1aba con esto pero no pens\u00e9 que se producir\u00eda. Me parec\u00eda demasiado&#8221;, reaccion\u00f3 Allison, de 70 a\u00f1os, en declaraciones a la agencia de prensa sueca TT.<\/p>\n<p>Allison, profesor de la Universidad de Texas, y Honjo, profesor de la Universidad de Kyoto, fueron premiados en 2014 por su investigaci\u00f3n con el premio Tang, considerado como la versi\u00f3n asi\u00e1tica de los Nobel.<\/p>\n<p>Ambos se repartir\u00e1n el monto de 1,01 mill\u00f3n de d\u00f3lares con el que se recompensa a los galardonados.<\/p>\n<p>El rey Carlos XVI Gustavo de Suecia entregar\u00e1 el premio en una ceremonia en Estocolmo el 10 de diciembre, aniversario del fallecimiento en 1896 de Alfred Nobel, creador de los premios como su \u00faltima voluntad.<\/p>\n<p>El a\u00f1o pasado tres genetistas estadounidense fueron recompensados con el Nobel por sus trabajos sobre el reloj biol\u00f3gico, que ilustra la adaptaci\u00f3n del cuerpo a los ciclos del d\u00eda y la noche, as\u00ed como los trastornos del sue\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Al premio de Medicina seguir\u00e1 el martes el de F\u00edsica, el mi\u00e9rcoles el de Qu\u00edmica y el lunes el de Econom\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>El viernes se conocer\u00e1 en Oslo el Nobel de la Paz.<\/p>\n<p>Por primera vez desde 1949, el anuncio del Nobel de literatura ser\u00e1 aplazado un a\u00f1o por la Academia Sueca, sumergida en el esc\u00e1ndalo #MeToo, en divisiones internas y la renuncia de varios de sus miembros que le impiden funcionar normalmente.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuente: La Jornada\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Estocolmo.\u00a0El estadunidense James P.
