Son m\u00e1s ligeras que las bater\u00edas para coches el\u00e9ctricos que hay ahora mismo en el mercado y, al mismo tiempo, acumulan m\u00e1s energ\u00eda con menor riesgo de explosi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_65994\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-65994 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Estacion-de-carga.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Estacion-de-carga.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Estacion-de-carga-300x211.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Estacion-de-carga-768x540.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Estacion-de-carga-620x436.jpg 620w\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"703\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Imagen: Chesky\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shutterstock.com\/es\/image-illustration\/blue-electric-suv-car-battery-swapping-1066802471\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shutterstock<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>La nueva bater\u00eda fue desarrollada por investigadores del Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda de Ulsan (UNIST) dirigidos por el profesor Cho Jae-pil del Departamento de Energ\u00eda e Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica.<\/p>\n<p>La \u201cbater\u00eda de aluminio-aire\u201d es m\u00e1s eficiente energ\u00e9ticamente que las bater\u00edas de iones de litio mientras que reduce el riesgo de explosi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/center>La nueva bater\u00eda no es una bater\u00eda recargable, sino una bater\u00eda de un s\u00f3lo uso. Cuando se usa en un coche el\u00e9ctrico, la electricidad se suministrada simplemente reemplazando el aluminio. Seg\u00fan los investigadores, el aluminio tiene una densidad energ\u00e9tica superior en comparaci\u00f3n con el mismo peso de la gasolina.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Mientras que 1 kg de gasolina representa 1.700 Wh de densidad energ\u00e9tica en un coche, la de aluminio aplicada a una bater\u00eda de aluminio-aire es de 2.500 Wh por kg<\/em>\u201c, dijo Cho, a\u00f1adiendo: \u201c<em>Con la densidad de energ\u00eda de este tipo, podemos hacer una bater\u00eda que permita a un coche el\u00e9ctrico recorrer hasta 700 km con cada cambio<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>La tecnolog\u00eda es del tipo \u201cbater\u00eda de metal-aire\u201d que obtiene energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica a trav\u00e9s de la reacci\u00f3n de varios metales (combustibles) con el aire. Las bater\u00edas de metal-aire se han estado investigado porque son m\u00e1s densas energ\u00e9ticamente que las bater\u00edas de iones de litio. En particular, hay grandes expectativas en el aluminio porque es ligero y barato, y no explota. Es mejor que el litio.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, los bater\u00edas de aluminio-aire existentes se descargan muy r\u00e1pido por la acumulaci\u00f3n de subproductos de aluminio durante la fabricaci\u00f3n. El equipo del profesor Cho resolvi\u00f3 este problema desarrollando un m\u00e9todo de \u201cflujo de electrolitos\u201d, de esta forma los subproductos no se acumulan y el rendimiento se mantiene.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n se ha desarrollado un catalizador de alto rendimiento (catalizador de nanoplaca de \u00f3xido de manganeso y plata) que activa la reacci\u00f3n en el electrodo receptor de aire. Se espera que la bater\u00eda de aluminio-aire aplicada con catalizador aumente la autonom\u00eda del coche el\u00e9ctrico porque su densidad de energ\u00eda es alta y no explota.<\/p>\n<p>El primer autor del trabajo Ryu Jae-chan, estudiante de doctorado del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Energ\u00e9tica del UNIST, afirm\u00f3: \u201c<em>Resolvimos el problema de la precipitaci\u00f3n de los electrodos de aluminio desarrollando la tecnolog\u00eda de flujo de electrolitos y conseguimos una alta densidad de energ\u00eda aplicando catalizadores de alto rendimiento a los electrodos de aire<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>La capacidad de descarga de la bater\u00eda de aluminio-flujo de aire se ha multiplicado por 17 en comparaci\u00f3n con la\u00a0bater\u00eda de aire de aluminio convencional. La capacidad de los catalizadores a base de \u00f3xido de manganeso y plata recientemente desarrollados era comparable a la de los catalizadores de platino convencionales (Pt \/ C). Como la plata es 50 veces m\u00e1s barata que el platino, tambi\u00e9n es m\u00e1s competitiva en t\u00e9rminos econ\u00f3micos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuente:
