Plastic<\/strong>, un pl\u00e1stico biodegradable producido a partir de f\u00e9cula de patata, uno de los muchos proyectos innovadores que respondieron a la convocatoria \u201c<em><strong>Dise\u00f1ar algo que resuelva un problema<\/strong><\/em>\u201c.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Entre los proyectos finalistas del Premio James Dyson, el concurso que cada a\u00f1o ve competir a proyectos de todo el mundo, desarrollados por estudiantes o reci\u00e9n licenciados en dise\u00f1o e ingenier\u00eda que responden a la convocatoria \u201cDise\u00f1ar algo que resuelva un problema\u201d, se encuentra este proyecto que desarrolla cubiertos de pl\u00e1stico biodegradables elaborados a partir de f\u00e9cula de patata.<\/p>\n<p>Se han dado a conocer los nombres de los veinte primeros proyectos finalistas, que aspiran al premio de 30.000 libras esterlinas (el ganador ser\u00e1 publicado en noviembre), muchos de los cuales son de gran inter\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Entre ellos, la idea del dise\u00f1ador sueco Pontus T\u00f6rnqvist de la Universidad de Lund, que desarroll\u00f3 Potato Plastic, un material a base de f\u00e9cula de patata que se parece al pl\u00e1stico, pero que se biodegrada en el suelo en menos de dos meses.<\/p>\n<p>Es un material termopl\u00e1stico, compuesto de f\u00e9cula de patata y agua, calentado hasta que se espesa, para verter la mezcla en moldes y expuesta al calor hasta que se convierte en una pieza compacta y seca.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-66669\" src=\"https:\/\/ecoinventos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Potato-Plastic-materiales.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" proyecto haga tomar conciencia de un problema mundial: el consumo de pl\u00e1stico desechable y el abuso que se hace de \u00e9l en ciertos sectores como la comida r\u00e1pida, por ejemplo: \u201c<em>La ambig\u00fcedad de ciertos productos de pl\u00e1stico<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 explica T\u00f6rnqvist \u2013\u00a0<em>es tener una duraci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 450 a\u00f1os y un per\u00edodo de uso de 20 minutos<\/em>.\u201d Reponerlos con un material como el pl\u00e1stico de patata podr\u00eda tener efectos beneficiosos para la salud humana y el medio ambiente. \u201c<em>Mi material<\/em>\u00a0-a\u00f1adi\u00f3-\u00a0<em>proviene de un producto de la tierra y una vez agotada su funci\u00f3n puede volver a la tierra con seguridad.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img Bernoulli, es capaz de captar el viento que viaja en cualquier direcci\u00f3n; WaterSafe, el innovador sistema de gesti\u00f3n del agua dom\u00e9stica que puede contener el derroche diario de agua;
