{"id":1247,"date":"2015-12-14T17:54:09","date_gmt":"2015-12-14T23:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=1247"},"modified":"2015-12-14T17:54:09","modified_gmt":"2015-12-14T23:54:09","slug":"politecnicos-preparan-hidrogeles-para-regenerar-hueso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/otros\/politecnicos-preparan-hidrogeles-para-regenerar-hueso\/","title":{"rendered":"Polit\u00e9cnicos preparan hidrogeles para regenerar hueso"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Generar nuevos biomateriales con la finalidad de reparar o reconstruir tejidos \u00f3seos constituye un reto para los cient\u00edficos, por ello investigadores del Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico Nacional (IPN) desarrollaron hidrogeles a base de nanopart\u00edculas de \u00f3xido de titanio y al\u00famina que regeneran los huesos.<\/p>\n<p>La funci\u00f3n principal de este hidrogel nanoestructurado es adherirse a las c\u00e9lulas osteobl\u00e1sticas del hueso para la reproducci\u00f3n \u00f3sea, asegur\u00f3 la doctora Mar\u00eda Guadalupe Valverde Aguilar del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ciencia Aplicada y Tecnolog\u00eda Avanzada (CICATA), Unidad Legaria.<\/p>\n<p>Los hidrogeles son pol\u00edmeros blandos y el\u00e1sticos que en presencia de agua aumentan considerablemente su volumen. Debido a su biocompatibilidad y propiedades son cada vez m\u00e1s utilizados como biomateriales. La especialista polit\u00e9cnica mencion\u00f3 que esta matriz consiste en una pel\u00edcula de hidrogel con sustancias qu\u00edmicas denominadas quitosano o agarosa, a las cuales se adicionan las nanopart\u00edculas.<\/p>\n<p>Explic\u00f3 que este compuesto se pondr\u00e1 a prueba con huesos humanos con la finalidad de probar su biocompatibilidad. Estos dos tipos de nanopart\u00edculas (di\u00f3xido de titanio y al\u00famina) se sintetizaron por los m\u00e9todos Sol-Gel e hidr\u00f3lisis.<\/p>\n<p>Asegur\u00f3 que estos estudios son los primeros que se realizan en M\u00e9xico. \u201cLos primeros tres art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos est\u00e1n pr\u00f3ximos a publicarse en revistas especializadas, lo que sentar\u00e1 precedente\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Las caracter\u00edsticas que presentan estos hidrogeles son la compatibilidad con el hueso, por lo que no presenta ninguna reacci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica de tipo adversa. Los estudios in vitro demostraron que son reabsorbibles debido a que se degradan de forma paulatina conforme se desarrolla la nueva estructura.<\/p>\n<p>En los estudios de adhesi\u00f3n y proliferaci\u00f3n celular realizados tanto a los hidrogeles de di\u00f3xido de titanio como a los de al\u00famina se obtuvieron adhesiones de un promedio superior al 60 por ciento del total de las c\u00e9lulas sembradas.<\/p>\n<p>Los hidrogeles mostraron una buena biocompatibilidad, adem\u00e1s de no ser t\u00f3xicos para las c\u00e9lulas del hueso.
