As\u00ed que ahora ser\u00e1 posible utilizar estas nanoagujas para suministrar biomol\u00e9culas a c\u00e9lulas o incluso tejidos de una manera notablemente menos invasiva que mediante procedimientos previos.<\/p>\n<p>T\u00edpicamente, los conjuntos de agujas de silicio de esta clase se colocan entre la piel, m\u00fasculos o tejidos donde suministran las dosis exactas de biomol\u00e9culas. Los dispositivos de este tipo disponibles comercialmente suelen estar construidos sobre una oblea de silicio opaca y r\u00edgida. La rigidez puede causar incomodidad y no pueden dejarse mucho tiempo en el cuerpo.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo de Chi Hwan Lee, de la Universidad Purdue en West Lafayette, Indiana, Estados Unidos, parece que ha resuelto este problema. Los investigadores han desarrollado un m\u00e9todo que permite las transferencia f\u00edsica de nanoagujas de silicio ordenadas verticalmente desde su oblea de silicio original a una estructura de soporte que no solo es flexible sino que tambi\u00e9n es transl\u00facida, y que por tanto puede asimismo permitir la observaci\u00f3n en tiempo real de la interacci\u00f3n entre c\u00e9lulas y nanoagujas.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo de Lee, que ha contado tambi\u00e9n con participaci\u00f3n de la Universidad Hanyang en Corea del Sur, espera perfeccionar esta estructura de soporte para que act\u00fae como un parche externo fijado a la piel, disminuyendo de ese modo el dolor y la toxicidad asociados con un suministro de f\u00e1rmacos a largo plazo, y haciendo mucho menos invasivo el
