{"id":13611,"date":"2019-01-25T10:07:54","date_gmt":"2019-01-25T16:07:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=13611"},"modified":"2019-01-25T10:07:54","modified_gmt":"2019-01-25T16:07:54","slug":"crean-cientificas-bioplastico-desde-nanotecnologia-forestal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/materiales\/crean-cientificas-bioplastico-desde-nanotecnologia-forestal\/","title":{"rendered":"Crean cient\u00edficas biopl\u00e1stico desde nanotecnolog\u00eda forestal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">A fin de ofrecer una alternativa al uso a los pl\u00e1sticos sint\u00e9ticos, y con ello disminuir el da\u00f1o que provocan a la salud humana como al medio ambiente, investigadoras de la Universidad de Guadalajara crearon una pel\u00edcula biodegradable a partir de almid\u00f3n de ma\u00edz y cart\u00f3n de embalaje reciclado.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La estudiante Magdalena Gonz\u00e1lez P\u00e9rez y la acad\u00e9mica Mar\u00eda Guadalupe Lomel\u00ed Ram\u00edrez, ambas adscritas al Centro Universitario de Ciencias Exactas e Ingenier\u00edas (CUCEI), modificaron la qu\u00edmica del almid\u00f3n de ma\u00edz con el objetivo de mejorar sus propiedades de resistencia y absorci\u00f3n de humedad.<\/p>\n<p>Para ello, y con el fin de reducir la cantidad de contaminantes en el proceso, lo mezclaron con qu\u00edmicos de grado alimenticio, es decir, solubles en agua y que no emplean solventes t\u00f3xicos.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de la combinaci\u00f3n de la f\u00e9cula de ma\u00edz y el agua, sometidos a temperatura y agitaci\u00f3n constantes, obtuvieron un gel, al que adicionaron un plastificante para lograr una pel\u00edcula flexible, se\u00f1ala Gonz\u00e1lez P\u00e9rez, quien cursa la maestr\u00eda en Ciencia de Productos Forestales del CUCEI.<\/p>\n<p>Una pel\u00edcula de almid\u00f3n de ma\u00edz sin refuerzo tiene aproximadamente cinco megapascales, medida de resistencia a la tensi\u00f3n, y al incorporar el refuerzo plastificante se eleva hasta 14 aproximadamente. Un pl\u00e1stico sint\u00e9tico convencional posee de 10 a 25 megapascales de resistencia.<\/p>\n<p>Como parte de las pruebas realizadas al biopol\u00edmero, las investigadoras comprobaron que si se la adiciona fibra ca\u00f1a de az\u00facar, bagazo de agave y paja de los rastrojos la absorci\u00f3n de humedad disminuye y no pierde sus propiedades biodegradables.<\/p>\n<p>El material puede ser usado para empaques o recubrimientos de alimentos secos, entre otros usos.
