En el caso del c\u00e1ncer puede significar la diferencia entre la vida y la muerte. Con este objetivo ha surgido la starup GRIAL, la cual fue creada para desarrollar un test \u00fanico para diagnosticar todos los tipos de\u00a0c\u00e1ncer\u00a0de forma precoz.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El proyecto ha sido promovido por Illumina, una empresa de biotecnolog\u00eda pionera en la secuenciaci\u00f3n barata y eficiente del<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unocero.com\/?s=adn\">\u00a0<\/a>ADN<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unocero.com\/?s=adn\">,<\/a>\u00a0y cuenta con patrocinadores como Bill Gates y Jeff Bezos, con una inversi\u00f3n\u00a0de m\u00e1s 100 millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las pruebas de Grail usar\u00e1n la tecnolog\u00eda de Illumina para secuenciar ADN y as\u00ed buscar los genes que originan los\u00a0tumores\u00a0y circulan por el torrente sangu\u00edneo. La empresa espera detectar varios c\u00e1nceres que puedan ser tratados en sus etapas tempranas e incrementen las posibilidades de supervivencia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El concepto de pruebas siendo perseguido por Illumina, a veces llamado una \u201cbiopsia l\u00edquida\u201d, es el uso de las m\u00e1quinas de\u00a0secuenciaci\u00f3n de ADN\u00a0de alta velocidad para recorrer de la sangre de una persona fragmentos de ADN liberados por las c\u00e9lulas cancerosas que a menudo indica un tumor que ya se est\u00e1 formando, incluso si es demasiado peque\u00f1o como para causar s\u00edntomas o ser visto en im\u00e1genes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Illumina no invent\u00f3 la idea de las pruebas, que fueron desarrollados por primera vez por los centros acad\u00e9micos incluidos en la Universidad Johns Hopkins.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGRAIL tendr\u00e1 como meta principal desarrollar una prueba de sangre para el a\u00f1o 2019 con la que se pueda obtener certeza de la presencia de cualquier tipo de c\u00e1ncer a un precio de menos de $1,000 d\u00f3lares\u201d, dijo el CEO Jay Flatley.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Una prueba de ADN capaz de recoger muchos tipos de c\u00e1ncer podr\u00eda ser revolucionario porque los tumores que se detectan a tiempo, a menudo se puede curar con\u00a0cirug\u00eda o radiaci\u00f3n. Desde la d\u00e9cada de 1970, los mayores descensos en las tasas de muertes por c\u00e1ncer se deben a cualquiera de los cambios de comportamiento, como la disminuci\u00f3n del consumo de tabaco, o debido a las pruebas de detecci\u00f3n eficaces, principalmente colonoscopias y prueba de Papanicolaou.
