El camino de la industria sustentable mediante la metodolog\u00eda LEED inici\u00f3 en nuestro pa\u00eds en el a\u00f1o 2012 con la certificaci\u00f3n \u201cTenaris Tamsa Expansi\u00f3n\u201d, convirti\u00e9ndose en el primer proyecto de manufacturaci\u00f3n pesada a nivel mundial y uno de los primeros 40 en recibir esta certificaci\u00f3n. Este recinto localizado en Veracruz logr\u00f3 un ahorro de m\u00e1s del 21% de electricidad y de m\u00e1s de la mitad de consumo de agua, reduciendo sus emisiones de carbono en 19%<\/p>\n

Asimismo, en congruencia con la edificaci\u00f3n sustentable, la empresa no se limit\u00f3 a guiar sus objetivos para obtener la certificaci\u00f3n LEED, sino tambi\u00e9n elaboraron un sistema de gesti\u00f3n reconocido por ISO 14001, avalando las actividades amigables del medio ambiente de la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n

\u201cLos m\u00e9todos de manufactura en el 2050 lucir\u00e1n muy diferente a la actual [\u2026]. Las empresas exitosas ser\u00e1n capaces de adaptar sus infraestructuras para explotar los cambios en la tecnolog\u00eda a medida que la fabricaci\u00f3n se vuelve m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida, m\u00e1s receptiva y m\u00e1s cercana a los clientes\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

La incorporaci\u00f3n de las herramientas tecnol\u00f3gicas en los procesos de transformaci\u00f3n ha sido factor clave para la optimizaci\u00f3n de recursos, tiempos y costos en las industrias, creando productos de alta calidad y una mayor disponibilidad en el mercado. Si bien la manera de manufacturar se ha innovado, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 no tambi\u00e9n renovar la manera en que se dise\u00f1an y construyen las f\u00e1bricas?<\/p>\n

Para finales del 2018, M\u00e9xico contaba con m\u00e1s de 200 proyectos industriales LEED (registrados y certificados), incluyendo instalaciones de manufactura, distribuci\u00f3n y almacenamiento. Este rubro representa el segundo sector con mayor n\u00famero de proyectos en b\u00fasqueda de esta certificaci\u00f3n internacional, mostrando el inter\u00e9s en reducir el impacto ambiental de sus operaciones.<\/p>\n
