El acto comenzar\u00e1 a las 18:30 horas en el Aula Magna de La Nau (C\/ Universitat, 2) y la entrada es libre y gratuita hasta completar aforo.<\/p>\n<p>Soria es uno de los mayores expertos de la Comunitat Valenciana en la explosi\u00f3n del<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Big Data<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>que estamos viviendo, un fen\u00f3meno que este docente e investigador compara con la revoluci\u00f3n industrial.<\/p>\n<p>Uno de los retos actuales m\u00e1s importantes de la Ciencia de Datos, que ya se conoce como la ingenier\u00eda del futuro, es c\u00f3mo interpretar los grandes vol\u00famenes de informaci\u00f3n que nuestra sociedad genera continuamente, un flujo que se ha multiplicado por un factor de mil millones en la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada. Este enorme caudal de datos es el<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>oro negro<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>del siglo XXI, pues de \u00e9l se puede extraer conocimiento e informaci\u00f3n como mecanismo de apoyo a la toma de decisiones estrat\u00e9gicas tanto en las empresas como en la Administraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Un gran n\u00famero de aplicaciones<\/p>\n<p>Hasta ahora nunca se hab\u00edan generado tantos datos ni con tanta velocidad. Adem\u00e1s, al tener las herramientas para almacenarlos y procesarlos, se abre la puerta a un gran n\u00famero de aplicaciones en las que la inteligencia artificial es la gran beneficiada.<\/p>\n<p>De la Barra, ingeniero industrial y m\u00e1ster en Ingenier\u00eda de An\u00e1lisis de Datos, Optimizaci\u00f3n y Toma de Decisiones impartido por el Departamento de Estad\u00edstica de la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV), dirige el departamento de<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Big Data<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>de Prensa Ib\u00e9rica desde hace cuatro a\u00f1os.
