Durante muchos a\u00f1os hemos escuchado que el malware es uno de los principales problemas que nos vamos a encontrar en\u00a0<\/span>Android<\/strong>, sin embargo, esto no parece ser del todo cierto, es decir, el malware en verdad es un problema, pero no es exclusivo de Android, y seg\u00fan el\u00a0<\/span>\u00faltimo reporte de seguridad de Google, los usuarios infectados por malware no son tantos como muchos podr\u00edan creer.<\/p>\n

Antes de continuar es importante aclarar que es dif\u00edcil saber con exactitud cu\u00e1ntos dispositivos Android hay al d\u00eda de hoy, Google mencion\u00f3 en 2018 que ya hab\u00eda\u00a0<\/span>2 mil millones de tel\u00e9fonos utilizando su sistema operativo<\/strong>, por lo que utilizaremos esta cifra para saber aproximadamente cu\u00e1ntos equipos Android se infectaron de malware potencialmente peligroso.<\/p>\n

Android m\u00e1s seguro que nunca<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

Seguramente ya has escuchado esta frase en alguno de nuestros contenidos, incluso Google recalca que\u00a0<\/span>Android es m\u00e1s seguro que nunca<\/strong>, y todo ello ha sido gracias a los esfuerzos de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, principalmente a\u00a0<\/span>Google Play Protect<\/strong>, la cual ha logrado detectar y eliminar a tiempo muchas amenazas para los usuarios Android en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el informe de seguridad, la cantidad de usuarios que fueron infectados por un malware potencialmente peligroso de alguna aplicaci\u00f3n de la Play Store fue el 0.08%, mientras que los usuarios que constantemente descargan aplicaciones fuera de la Play Store la cifra fue de 0.68%.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Esto se traduce en que los usuarios afectados por alguna aplicaci\u00f3n de la Play Store fue de\u00a0<\/span>1.6 millones de dispositivos<\/strong>, mientras que el n\u00famero de afectados por instalar aplicaciones fuera de la Play Store fue de\u00a0<\/span>13.6 millones de usuarios<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n

Claro que los n\u00fameros pueden parecer bastante altos, pero no hablamos ni siquiera del 1% de dispositivos Android a nivel mundial, pues el 1% ser\u00edan 20 millones de tel\u00e9fonos.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed mismo, la cifra de dispositivos infectados desde la Play Store se mantuvo en 2017 y 2018, pues en 2017 fue cuando Play Protect comenz\u00f3 a funcionar, sin embargo, el mayor avance se logr\u00f3 con los usuarios que instalan apps fuera de la tienda oficial, pues el n\u00famero de afectados baj\u00f3 en un 0.12% , lo cual se traduce en 2.4 millones de dispositivos.<\/p>\n

Indonesia, el pa\u00eds con m\u00e1s dispositivos afectados en el mundo<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Aunque la\u00a0<\/span>India es el mercado con m\u00e1s dispositivos Android en todo el mundo<\/strong>, Indonesia ha sido el pa\u00eds que m\u00e1s ataques sufri\u00f3 en 2018<\/strong>, sin embargo, Google redujo el n\u00famero de dispositivos infectados de 2017 a 2018 en este pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

Llama la atenci\u00f3n que la India era en 2016 y 2017 el pa\u00eds con m\u00e1s dispositivos infectados, pues en 2016 hab\u00eda aproximadamente\u00a0<\/span>25 millones de usuarios infectados por malware<\/strong>, mientras que en\u00a0<\/span>2017 la cifra se redujo a los 20 millones,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>y en\u00a0<\/span>2018 los usuarios infectados fueron \u00fanicamente 13 millones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

En el caso de Indonesia, el pa\u00eds tuvo aproximadamente\u00a0<\/span>17 millones de dispositivos infectados en 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Android Lollipop, la versi\u00f3n m\u00e1s insegura de Android<\/strong><\/h5>\n

El mismo reporte menciona cu\u00e1les son las versiones m\u00e1s seguras de Android, y obviamente que Android Pie 9.0 es la versi\u00f3n m\u00e1s segura al d\u00eda de hoy, pues solo se han encontrado el 0.18% de sus dispositivos infectados.<\/p>\n

Por otro lado, Android Lollipop registr\u00f3 que el 0.65% de sus dispositivos se infect\u00f3 con alg\u00fan malware. Lo que resulta un misterio es que no sabemos con exactitud cu\u00e1ntos dispositivos Android tienen cada versi\u00f3n, pues Google no ha revelado durante varios meses la distribuci\u00f3n\u00a0<\/span>Android<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>del mercado.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed mismo,\u00a0<\/span>Google<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>revel\u00f3 que la instalaci\u00f3n de aplicaciones desde la\u00a0<\/span>Google Play Store<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>creci\u00f3 un 16 % con respecto a 2017. Por el contrario, la instalaci\u00f3n de archivos APK baj\u00f3 un 38 %. Y es que seg\u00fan Google, Play Protect evit\u00f3 la instalaci\u00f3n de 1,600 millones de aplicaciones desde fuera de la tienda oficial de la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n
