Sin embargo, muchos tumores sin esas mutaciones tambi\u00e9n pueden tener el mismo d\u00e9ficit de reparaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica, pero son m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de encontrar porque no hay una prueba espec\u00edfica.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row pb-content-type-text\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-print-12\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\"><strong>El algoritmo encuentra patrones en los tumores que muestran si tienen una deficiencia en la reparaci\u00f3n hom\u00f3loga del ADN<\/strong>, lo que los hace susceptibles al tratamiento con inhibidores PARP, se\u00f1alan investigadores liderados por Doga Gulhan, de Harvard, en la revista Nature Genetics.<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>La t\u00e9cnica puede aplicarse a las pruebas gen\u00e9ticas que ya se realizan para muchos tumores<\/strong>, se\u00f1alaron los investigadores.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row pb-content-type-text\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-print-12\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">De 270.000 c\u00e1nceres de mama diagnosticados en 2018, alrededor de 13.500 a 27.000 se atribuyeron a las llamadas mutaciones BRCA y, por tanto, podr\u00edan atacarse con inhibidores PARP. Mediante el an\u00e1lisis de simulaci\u00f3n por computadora, identificaron hasta 54.000 m\u00e1s casos con genes BRCA normales que ten\u00edan defectos en la reparaci\u00f3n hom\u00f3loga y podr\u00edan tratarse con los nuevos medicamentos contra el c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row pb-content-type-text\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-print-12\">\n<p class=\"element element-paragraph\">Los analistas estiman las ventas de Lynparza en US$1.100 millones este a\u00f1o y las de Zejula en US$314 millones.
