{"id":1564,"date":"2016-02-10T14:18:18","date_gmt":"2016-02-10T20:18:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=1564"},"modified":"2016-02-10T14:18:18","modified_gmt":"2016-02-10T20:18:18","slug":"mexicana-desarrolla-ceramicas-que-transformen-el-calor-en-electricidad-de-forma-economica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/ciencia\/mexicana-desarrolla-ceramicas-que-transformen-el-calor-en-electricidad-de-forma-economica\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexicana desarrolla cer\u00e1micas que transformen el calor en electricidad de forma econ\u00f3mica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Diana Tal\u00eda \u00c1lvarez, mexicana que realiza su doctorado en la Universidad de Manchester,\u00a0dise\u00f1a\u00a0materiales cer\u00e1micos termoel\u00e9ctricos que puedan convertir el calor producido en la industria automovilista o aeroespacial en energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Su objetivo es claro: encontrar una fuente de energ\u00eda alternativa que ayude a mejorar la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica en varias industrias, por ello moldea y dise\u00f1a los materiales para adaptarse a m\u00faltiples aplicaciones como en el sector del autom\u00f3vil donde el calor que se desprende del tubo de escape podr\u00eda ser aprovechado.<\/p>\n<p>La temperatura del aire que sale de un coche es de aproximadamente 500 grados cent\u00edgrados, lo que provoca que el tuvo de escape est\u00e9 a unos 300-400 grados. Esta energ\u00eda disipada y perdida\u00a0puede ser aprovechada para generar electricidad. Algo que ya logran hacer varias soluciones termoel\u00e9ctricas de uso actual en diferentes industrias; pero su coste es muy elevado.<\/p>\n<p>La investigadora busca un material m\u00e1s econ\u00f3mico jugando con su composici\u00f3n y proceso de fabricaci\u00f3n con el objetivo de crear una cer\u00e1mica de alta eficiencia\u00a0que no sea tan cara y t\u00f3xica como las empleadas para estos prop\u00f3sitos en la actualidad.<\/p>\n<p>El problema es que, pese a que las cer\u00e1micas halladas no son t\u00f3xicas y son baratas \u2014 relativamente \u2014 de producir, su eficiencia es de un 0,6 una cifra todav\u00eda alejada de los materiales comerciales con una tasa de eficiencia de 4. Aun as\u00ed la mexicana asegura que los beneficios son muchos y que cuando logren reducir los costes de producci\u00f3n ser\u00e1 algo muy &#8220;beneficioso para la sociedad.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Las
