Pero, por otro lado,<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>ha apoyado el desarrollo de aplicaciones basadas en la tecnolog\u00eda de cadena de bloques<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(<em>blockchain<\/em>) bajo la que operan las monedas digitales como Bitcoin. Ese impulso dio lugar a una explosi\u00f3n de proyectos chinos relacionados con<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>blockchain<\/em>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La empresa<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.antfin.com\/m\/index.htm?locale=en_us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ant Financial<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>es la l\u00edder de este campo, y se ya se ha posicionado<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>como la mayor compa\u00f1\u00eda de tecnolog\u00eda financiera<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>del mundo por su valor.<\/p>\n<p>Como filial del conglomerado del comercio electr\u00f3nico Alibaba, Ant Financial es responsable del servicio de pago digital Alipay, omnipresente en China. Tambi\u00e9n ha estado invirtiendo fuertemente en tecnolog\u00edas de vanguardia, como la inteligencia artificial, la computaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica y, s\u00ed,<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>blockchain<\/em>. Uno de los objetivos principales de esta iniciativa de alta tecnolog\u00eda consiste en<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>construir un &#8220;internet industrial&#8221;,<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>seg\u00fan afirm\u00f3 recientemente el director del departamento de<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Blockchain<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>de Ant Financial, Hui Zhang, durante la reciente conferencia<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Business of Blockchain<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>de<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>MIT Technology Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de que 600 millones de usuarios chinos se han conectado a internet en la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, el responsable afirm\u00f3 que los servicios digitales adaptados a la industria china necesitan mejorar mucho. En su opini\u00f3n, la tecnolog\u00eda<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>blockchain<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>combinada con internet de las cosas y la inteligencia artificial, ofrecer\u00e1 a las compa\u00f1\u00edas una forma m\u00e1s eficiente de conectarse e intercambiar datos valiosos y, por lo tanto, aumentar su productividad, explic\u00f3 Zhang, y a\u00f1adi\u00f3: &#8220;Necesitamos una mejor red de colaboraci\u00f3n&#8221;. Para Ant Financial,<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>la tecnolog\u00eda de la cadena de bloques ser\u00e1 crucial para eso.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La empresa,<span>\u00a0<\/span>que en 2018 fue valorada en casi 135.000 millones de euros,<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>ha desarrollado su propia plataforma de<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>blockchain<\/em><\/strong>. Alibaba fue el l\u00edder mundial en patentes acumuladas en 2018, justo por delante de IBM (el Banco Central de China se alz\u00f3 con el cuarto puesto). Ant Financial ya est\u00e1 utilizando esta tecnolog\u00eda para varias aplicaciones: una para buscar donaciones de caridad y que hasta el momento ya recaudado cerca de 45 millones de euros, otra para rastrear elementos f\u00edsicos como los componentes de la cadena de suministro, y una tercera que facilita los pagos r\u00e1pidos transfronterizos en Asia. Tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 creando una plataforma basada en<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>blockchain<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>para financiar el comercio internacional.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de trabajar en su tecnolog\u00eda ya patentada, Ant Financial<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 desarrollando aplicaciones para la plataforma de cadena de bloques de c\u00f3digo abierto Hyperledger<\/strong>, y tambi\u00e9n una versi\u00f3n privada de Ethereum.
