La referencia no alude a c\u00e1maras de mayor tecnolog\u00eda o computadoras personales m\u00e1s potentes. La tecnolog\u00eda que est\u00e1 transformando a las empresas de medios es una tecnolog\u00eda basada en datos, informaci\u00f3n, su tratamiento y discriminaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La agencia de noticias Associated Press es sin duda la agencia de noticias con m\u00e1s prestigio por su \u00e9tica, calidad period\u00edstica, oportunidad y alcance desde hace m\u00e1s de 150 a\u00f1os a nivel mundial. La agencia ha albergado a periodistas de han transformado la historia con historias sin precedentes, lo que les ha valido 51 Premios Pulitzer, tiene como miembros activos a m\u00e1s de 1,400 diarios en EEUU, as\u00ed como emisoras de radio y televisi\u00f3n en todos los idiomas. Adem\u00e1s del contenido, la compa\u00f1\u00eda es conocida por su estilo. AP Style es el est\u00e1ndar de escritura definitivo para el periodismo y para muchos otros campos.<\/p>\n<p>Cada trimestre, las empresas p\u00fablicas en Estados Unidos y en todo el globo liberan comunicados de prensa para dar a conocer sus ganancias corporativas. Y cada trimestre, los reporteros de Associated Press repasan exhaustivamente estos informes, extrayendo los n\u00fameros financieros relevantes para componer historias basadas en esos n\u00fameros. \u00a1Trabajo monumental!<\/p>\n<p>Este enfoque tradicional de trabajo supone dejar muchos reportajes financieros de lado dado que no es humanamente posible redactar miles de historias finanicieras de todas las empresas cada 3 meses. AP s\u00f3lo pudo producir 300 historias de este tipo por trimestre, lo que dej\u00f3 miles de historias de ganancias potenciales de la compa\u00f1\u00eda sin escribir adem\u00e1s de ser en palabras de Roger Yu del peri\u00f3dico USA Today \u201cla pesadilla trimestral de la existencia de muchos reporteros de negocios\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Como era costumbre, AP no se iba a dejar vencer por un obst\u00e1culo, sobre todo uno \u201cno period\u00edstico\u201d, por lo que con el uso de la plataforma de automatizaci\u00f3n Wordsmith de Automated Insights, la agencia aprovech\u00f3 la generaci\u00f3n de lenguaje natural para convertir los datos en una narrativa escrita en lenguaje sencillo \u2013Wordsmith transforma los datos de ganancias de Zacks Investment Research en una historia de calidad AP publicable en una fracci\u00f3n de segundos.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo de Wordsmith configur\u00f3 espec\u00edficamente el motor de generaci\u00f3n de lenguaje natural para escribir con el estilo period\u00edstico de alt\u00edsima calidad de AP. Como resultado, Associated Press ahora produce 4,400 historias de ganancias trimestrales, casi 15 veces m\u00e1s que sus esfuerzos manuales en el pasado.<\/p>\n<p>Las historias conservan la misma calidad y precisi\u00f3n que los lectores esperan de cualquiera de los art\u00edculos escritos por humanos de AP. Aparte de una nota explicativa al final de la historia, no hay evidencia de que hayan sido escritos por un algoritmo.
