{"id":16752,"date":"2019-06-28T08:47:38","date_gmt":"2019-06-28T14:47:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=16752"},"modified":"2019-06-28T08:48:14","modified_gmt":"2019-06-28T14:48:14","slug":"nueva-tecnologia-metal-organica-exhibe-eficacia-en-captura-de-co2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/materiales\/nueva-tecnologia-metal-organica-exhibe-eficacia-en-captura-de-co2\/","title":{"rendered":"Nueva tecnolog\u00eda metal-org\u00e1nica exhibe eficacia en captura de CO2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Cient\u00edficos han tomado las primeras im\u00e1genes de mol\u00e9culas de CO2 dentro de una jaula molecular, que confirma su potencial para atrapar este gas de efecto invernadero.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Esta \u2018jaula\u2019 para gas es parte de una nanopart\u00edcula altamente porosa conocida como MOF, o estructura metal-org\u00e1nica.<\/p>\n<p>Las im\u00e1genes, realizadas en las instalaciones de Cryo-EM de la Universidad de Stanford y el SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, muestran dos configuraciones de la mol\u00e9cula de CO2 en su jaula, en lo que los cient\u00edficos llaman una relaci\u00f3n hu\u00e9sped-hu\u00e9sped; revela que la jaula se expande ligeramente a medida que entra el CO2; y ampl\u00eda los bordes dentados donde las part\u00edculas de MOF pueden crecer al agregar m\u00e1s jaulas.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/center><\/p>\n<div id=\"sc_intxt_container\">\n<div>\n<div id=\"smartIntxt1\" class=\"fixed_intext_init\" data-smartplay-instance-id=\"0\" style=\"text-align: left;\">El equipo de investigaci\u00f3n, dirigido por los profesores de SLAC \/ Stanford Yi Cui y Wah Chiu, describi\u00f3 el estudio en la revista Matter.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Los MOF tienen las mayores \u00e1reas de superficie de cualquier material conocido. Un solo gramo puede tener un \u00e1rea de superficie casi del tama\u00f1o de dos campos de f\u00fatbol, ofreciendo un amplio espacio para que las mol\u00e9culas hu\u00e9sped ingresen a millones de jaulas anfitrionas.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de su enorme potencial comercial y sus dos d\u00e9cadas de investigaci\u00f3n intensa y acelerada, las MOF est\u00e1n empezando a llegar al mercado.
