El ministro de Ciencia, Innovaci\u00f3n y Universidades, Pedro Duque,<span>\u00a0<\/span>decidi\u00f3 recuperar estos galardones<span>\u00a0<\/span>despu\u00e9s de que el Gobierno de Mariano Rajoy los congelara en 2011, aunque los recuper\u00f3 en 2014 (solamente por un a\u00f1o).<\/p>\n<p>Junto con \u00c1ngela Nieto, ya son cinco las mujeres (en el \u00e1rea cient\u00edfica) galardonadas con el Premio Nacional de Investigaci\u00f3n en m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os.<span>\u00a0<\/span><span>Gabriela Morreale, Mar\u00eda Vallet, Mar\u00eda Blasco y Margarita Salas fueron premiadas en a\u00f1os anteriores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>La edici\u00f3n de 2019\u00a0\u00a0ha contado con 66 candidaturas, de las cuales 22 eran mujeres (33,3%) y 44 hombres (66,7%). Los distintos jurados, formados por relevantes personalidades de la ciencia en las distintas \u00e1reas del conocimiento y de composici\u00f3n equilibrada (52% mujeres y 48% hombres), han fallado los Premios Nacionales de Investigaci\u00f3n en las cinco modalidades.<\/p>\n<p>Valent\u00edn Fuster<span>\u00a0<\/span>ha recibido el Premio Nacional Gregorio Mara\u00f1\u00f3n de Medicina por sus investigaciones en prevenci\u00f3n, diagn\u00f3stico y tratamiento de la patolog\u00eda cardiovascular. &#8220;<span>Un premio motiva y ayuda a seguir adelante as\u00ed que estoy muy contento porque se premia toda la carrera. Y en la que yo he estado involucrado sigue una l\u00ednea homog\u00e9nea&#8221;, afirma Fuster. El cient\u00edfico revela que durante los dos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os ha estado explorando los campos m\u00e1s interesantes para \u00e9l en la actualidad. &#8220;Investigo qu\u00e9 es la salud desde el punto de vista gen\u00e9tico, molecular, cl\u00ednico y socioecon\u00f3mico y tambi\u00e9n c\u00f3mo podemos cambiar la conducta de la poblaci\u00f3n para evitar un co\u00e1gulo de sangre, que empieza con la sociedad de consumo&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<section class=\"sumario_html centro\" id=\"sumario_1|html\">\n<div class=\"sumario__interior\">\n<div class=\"sumario-texto\">\n<p class=\"texto_grande\"><span>Los Premios Nacionales de Investigaci\u00f3n que fueron creados en 1982, suponen el reconocimiento m\u00e1s importante de Espa\u00f1a en el \u00e1mbito de la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>\u00c1ngela Nieto\u00a0ha sido galardonada con el Premio Nacional Santiago Ram\u00f3n y Cajal de Biolog\u00eda por ser pionera en el estudio de la transici\u00f3n epitelio-mes\u00e9nquima, un proceso biol\u00f3gico para muy significativo para comprender del origen del c\u00e1ncer y las enfermedades degenerativas del envejecimiento. &#8220;En algunas enfermedades como el c\u00e1ncer o procesos degenerativos de \u00f3rganos, algunos genes se activan como en los procesos embrionarios. Es como si hubiera un interruptor que se vuelve a activar en la edad adulta y que esto suceda produce el progreso de las enfermedades&#8221;, explica Nieto. Actualmente estudia c\u00f3mo las c\u00e9lulas que se diseminan pueden anidar en otros \u00f3rganos que podr\u00edan producir la met\u00e1stasis.<\/p>\n<p>Susana Marcos<span>\u00a0<\/span>ha sido recompensada con el Premio Nacional Leonardo Torres Quevedo, en el \u00e1rea de Ingenier\u00edas por sus contribuciones pioneras a la ingenier\u00eda \u00f3ptica y fot\u00f3nica, y al desarrollo industrial de instrumentos de diagn\u00f3stico y correcci\u00f3n en oftalmolog\u00eda, que han beneficiado a miles de pacientes.<\/p>\n<p>En el \u00e1rea de las letras,<span>\u00a0<\/span>Mercedes Garc\u00eda-Arenal Rodr\u00edguez<span>\u00a0<\/span>ha recibido el Premio Nacional Ram\u00f3n Men\u00e9ndez Pidal de Humanidades. El jurado ha valorado sus estudios sobre minor\u00edas religiosas en la Edad Moderna de la pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e9rica y el Mediterr\u00e1neo. Su trabajo es de gran relevancia para entender la Europa contempor\u00e1nea, especialmente las grandes religiones, el contacto y la diferencia cultural, el miedo al extra\u00f1o y los peligros del mesianismo. Y<span>\u00a0<\/span>Manuel Carreiras, ha recibido el Premio Nacional Pascual Madoz de Derecho y Ciencias Econ\u00f3micas y Sociales por ser una referencia internacional en el campo del procesamiento del lenguaje (en el \u00e1mbito de la psicolog\u00eda experimental). Destaca su capacidad para crear grupos de excelencia y de transferencia de conocimiento.<\/p>\n<p>Los Premios Nacionales de Investigaci\u00f3n que fueron creados en 1982, suponen el reconocimiento m\u00e1s importante de Espa\u00f1a en el \u00e1mbito de la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica.
