Junio de 2019 fue el mes de junio m\u00e1s caluroso desde que se tienen registros. Y fue el segundo mes consecutivo en que las temperaturas hicieron que la<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>cobertura de hielo del mar ant\u00e1rtico alcanzara un m\u00ednimo hist\u00f3rico<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La temperatura media de tierra y mar en junio de 2019 era de 0,95 \u00baC por encima de la temperatura media mundial de 15,5 \u00baC, lo que convierte a<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>junio de 2019 en el mes de junio m\u00e1s caluroso de los \u00faltimos 140 a\u00f1os<\/strong>, seg\u00fan NOAA. Nueve de los 10 meses de junio m\u00e1s calurosos est\u00e1n en esta d\u00e9cada.<\/p>\n<p>En los Estados Unidos, Alaska tuvo su segundo mes de junio m\u00e1s c\u00e1lido desde que el estado comenz\u00f3 a llevar registros en 1925. Y aunque las islas hawaianas son casi siempre calurosas, la regi\u00f3n tropical tambi\u00e9n experiment\u00f3 el mes de junio m\u00e1s caluroso. Lo mismo ocurre con el Golfo de M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>Los europeos tambi\u00e9n sudaron m\u00e1s de lo normal el pasado mes de junio, despu\u00e9s de haber experimentado el mes de junio m\u00e1s caluroso de la regi\u00f3n en su conjunto.<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Austria, Alemania y Hungr\u00eda sufrieron el mes de junio m\u00e1s caluroso de su historia<\/strong>, y Suiza tuvo su segundo m\u00e1s caluroso.<\/p>\n<p>La ola de calor del mes pasado se sufri\u00f3 en todo el mundo. El mes de junio de 2019 fue el 20\u00ba junio consecutivo con una cobertura de hielo marino inferior a la media en el \u00c1rtico, y el cuarto junio consecutivo con una cobertura de hielo marino inferior a la media en la Ant\u00e1rtida.<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>La cobertura de hielo en la Ant\u00e1rtida fue la m\u00e1s peque\u00f1a desde hace 41 a\u00f1os<\/strong>, superando el r\u00e9cord anterior establecido en 2002 en 160.580 kil\u00f3metros cuadrados.<\/p>\n<p>Las altas temperaturas de junio est\u00e1n a la par de los meses anteriores de 2019. La temperatura del a\u00f1o hasta la fecha est\u00e1 en todo el mundo 0,94 \u00baC por encima de la media del siglo XX de 13,5 \u00baC, empatando como la segunda m\u00e1s caliente con enero a junio de 2017. S\u00f3lo de enero a junio de 2016 fue m\u00e1s c\u00e1lido.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfSon estas temperaturas r\u00e9cord el resultado del<span>\u00a0<\/span>cambio clim\u00e1tico? S\u00ed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>El clima es, por definici\u00f3n, el promedio a largo plazo del tiempo durante muchos a\u00f1os. Un a\u00f1o o estaci\u00f3n fr\u00eda (o c\u00e1lida) tiene poco que ver con el clima general. Es cuando esos a\u00f1os fr\u00edos (o c\u00e1lidos) se vuelven m\u00e1s y m\u00e1s regulares que comenzamos a reconocerlo como un<span>\u00a0<\/span>cambio en el clima<span>\u00a0<\/span>en lugar de simplemente un a\u00f1o an\u00f3malo de clima.<\/p>\n<p><cite>Josef Werne, profesor de Geolog\u00eda y Ciencias Ambientales de la Universidad de Pittsburgh.<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A medida que<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>las olas de calor extremas se producen con mayor frecuencia<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>en todo el mundo y que la temperatura de la Tierra sigue aumentando, cada vez es m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil ignorar los efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico.
