Se ha probado ya en distintos usos, que van de la trazabilidad alimentaria \u2014por ejemplo, con productos de<span>\u00a0<\/span><u>pesca extractiva<\/u><span>\u00a0<\/span>en la cadena Carrefour\u2014 a la aplicaci\u00f3n en el<span>\u00a0<\/span><u>sector del lujo<\/u>. Ahora llega a nuevos escenarios, gracias a una iniciativa de<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><em>The New York Times<\/em><\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>El emblem\u00e1tico diario estadounidense ha lanzado The News Provenance Project, una propuesta bajo la cual quieren<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>construir una soluci\u00f3n para toda la industria editorial basada en<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>blockchain<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>con la que luchar contra la desinformaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Actualmente se encuentran en una primera fase, en la que est\u00e1n empleando una plataforma basada en la tecnolog\u00eda de cadena de bloques para grabar y compartir metadatos de las publicaciones de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, especialmente los de im\u00e1genes y v\u00eddeos.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de este registro de informaci\u00f3n, el diario est\u00e1 realizando una investigaci\u00f3n de la experiencia del usuario, con el objetivo de lograr identificar los tipos de se\u00f1ales para que los usuarios reconozcan los medios aut\u00e9nticos. Esta primera fase se desarrollar\u00e1 a lo largo del a\u00f1o, y concluir\u00e1 con<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>el desarrollo de una prueba de concepto centrada en fotoperiodismo<\/strong>, en la que se comprobar\u00e1 c\u00f3mo funcionar\u00eda el sistema. Emplear\u00e1n para esto tecnolog\u00eda de<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>IBM<\/strong>; de hecho, est\u00e1n colaborando con Garage, el centro de la compa\u00f1\u00eda para el desarrollo de innovaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La elecci\u00f3n de<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>blockchain<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>se<span>\u00a0<\/span><u>justifica<\/u><span>\u00a0<\/span>por las posibilidades que ofrece esta tecnolog\u00eda para compartir informaci\u00f3n entre organizaciones de forma inmutable, pudiendo\u00a0acceder a ella m\u00faltiples interesados. En el sistema que se est\u00e1 desarrollando\u00a0se est\u00e1 empleando<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Hyperledger Fabric<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>para crear una plataforma de almacenamiento e intercambio de metadatos contextuales de im\u00e1genes.<\/p>\n<p>En el proyecto colaboran los equipos de investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo del diario, formados no solo por periodistas sino tambi\u00e9n por especialistas en tecnolog\u00eda.<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>La intenci\u00f3n del grupo es compartir p\u00fablicamente los hallazgos de su investigaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo de la aplicaci\u00f3n, con el objetivo de llegar al grupo m\u00e1s amplio posible de usuarios<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>para evitar as\u00ed la difusi\u00f3n masiva de las tristemente c\u00e9lebres &#8216;fake news&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuente:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>CIO Spain.
