Cuando las mujeres de todos los continentes, a menudo separadas por fronteras nacionales y diferencias \u00e9tnicas, ling\u00fc\u00edsticas, culturales, econ\u00f3micas y pol\u00edticas, se unen para celebrar su d\u00eda, pueden contemplar una tradici\u00f3n de no menos de noventa a\u00f1os de lucha en pro de la igualdad, la justicia, la paz y el desarrollo.<!--more-->El D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer se refiere a las mujeres como art\u00edfices de la historia y hunde sus ra\u00edces en la lucha de la mujer por participar en la sociedad en pie de igualdad con el hombre.<br \/>\nLa idea de un d\u00eda internacional de la mujer surgi\u00f3 al final del siglo XIX, que fue, en el mundo industrializado, un per\u00edodo de expansi\u00f3n y turbulencia, crecimiento fulgurante de la poblaci\u00f3n e ideolog\u00edas radicales.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oei.es\/noticias\/spip.php?article2163\" target=\"_blank\">Historia del 8 de marzo D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer por Ana Mar\u00eda Portugal<\/a><br \/>\nSobre el 8 de marzo existen diversas versiones.
