Con el objetivo de hacer esta labor m\u00e1s precisa, el mexicano David Oliva Uribe dise\u00f1\u00f3 desde Bruselas, B\u00e9lgica, un \u201cbistur\u00ed inteligente\u201d que determina si un \u00e1rea es sana o tumorosa.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/bisturi-inteligente-que-extrae-tumores-del-cerebro.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1946 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/bisturi-inteligente-que-extrae-tumores-del-cerebro.jpg\" alt=\"bisturi-inteligente-que-extrae-tumores-del-cerebro\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/bisturi-inteligente-que-extrae-tumores-del-cerebro.jpg 800w, https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/bisturi-inteligente-que-extrae-tumores-del-cerebro-600x401.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>El artefacto est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para usarse en la sala de operaciones, cuando ya se diagnostic\u00f3 un tumor en el cerebro y la \u00fanica soluci\u00f3n es quitarlo. La herramienta tiene el tama\u00f1o de un bistur\u00ed, pero la punta es esf\u00e9rica y de un di\u00e1metro menor a un mil\u00edmetro.<\/p>\n<p>El prototipo fue probado en tumores artificiales y tejido cerebral porcino, donde se obtuvieron excelentes resultados y demostr\u00f3 la viabilidad de entrar a la fase de pruebas con humanos.<\/p>\n<p>Cuenta con sensores integrados que al momento de pasarlo por la superficie avisa al neurocirujano mediante indicadores visuales y\/o auditivos el estado del tejido, af\u00edn de no distraer. Los resultados se obtienen en menos de medio segundo, y como consecuencia se ahorra tiempo vital durante la operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA pesar de que las t\u00e9cnicas de escaneo de imagen como la resonancia magn\u00e9tica y el ultrasonido localizan un tumor de manera precisa antes de la operaci\u00f3n, durante la apertura craneal y a lo largo del procedimiento quir\u00fargico hay muchos factores que pueden llevar a la p\u00e9rdida de esta posici\u00f3n, por ello la resecci\u00f3n (remover un tumor) depende de la experiencia, sentidos de vista y tacto del cirujano\u201c, explic\u00f3 el maestro en mec\u00e1nica, egresado del Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey.<\/p>\n<p>Durante la cirug\u00eda, el m\u00e9dico s\u00f3lo tiene dos formas de reconocer los bordes de un tumor; por medio de la observaci\u00f3n del microscopio o las herramientas de manipulaci\u00f3n del tejido, con las cuales se pierde sensibilidad de textura del cerebro, de ah\u00ed la importancia de contar con un instrumento de precisi\u00f3n que tenga mayor sensibilidad que el tacto del cirujano.<\/p>\n<p>Oliva Uribe, expresidente de la Red de Talentos Mexicanos en el Exterior, cap\u00edtulo B\u00e9lgica, explic\u00f3 que el instrumento est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para localizar tumores en fase temprana, momento en que es visible a trav\u00e9s de la resonancia magn\u00e9tica pero en la sala de operaciones no, debido a que su caracter\u00edstica f\u00edsica es semejante a la del tejido sano, lo que dificulta diferenciarlo.<\/p>\n<p>Durante seis a\u00f1os se ha desarrollado el dise\u00f1o del dispositivo, la parte mec\u00e1nica y de sensores se realiz\u00f3 en la Universidad de Hannover, Alemania y hospitales especializados en neurocirug\u00eda, y el procesamiento digital en la Universidad Libre de Bruselas, B\u00e9lgica (VUB).<\/p>\n<h4>Tecnolog\u00eda para instrumentos m\u00e9dicos<\/h4>\n<p>Oliva Uribe detall\u00f3 que la tecnolog\u00eda de los sensores puede hacerse miniatura y adaptarse para detectar tumores en otras \u00e1reas del cuerpo, como de est\u00f3mago o intestino, donde es necesario introducir un aparato diminuto llamado endoscop\u00eda para evaluar el tejido y extraer el \u00e1rea maligna.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, es posible extenderlo en la aplicaci\u00f3n de cirug\u00edas asistida por robots, porque la tecnolog\u00eda del sensor tiene la calidad para dar autonom\u00eda a estos aparatos de teleoperaciones.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1947 aligncenter\"
