Si bien el sector de las fintech en M\u00e9xico ha tenido un crecimiento el cual se ve reflejado seg\u00fan detalla el Reporte Fintech Latinoam\u00e9rica 202, en la gestaci\u00f3n de 249 fintechs en el pa\u00eds, con una recaudaci\u00f3n calculada en alrededor de 1,300 millones de d\u00f3lares, en el tema de propiedad industrial e intelectual, existe un gran desconocimiento que podr\u00eda ayudar a que tanto estas instituciones como los bancos tradicionales, consoliden su liderazgo.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed lo detalla un reporte de la firma ClarkeModet, especializada en temas de propiedad intelectual e industrial, quien detalla que lo anterior no es una cuesti\u00f3n meramente de protecci\u00f3n de innovaci\u00f3n sobre softwares, pues hoy d\u00eda los bancos y fintech cuentan con otros activos intangibles m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de sus denominaciones distintivas, elementos figurativos (\u00edconos), otras marcas no convencionales, artes y contenidos que en su conjunto sirven para dar una experiencia diferenciada a sus clientes, tanto presencial como virtualmente.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMuy escasas empresas integrantes del sector financiero (Fintech, banca o inclusive seguros) toman en cuenta la gesti\u00f3n de sus activos de propiedad intelectual de manera estrat\u00e9gica con el fin de afianzar la experiencia que ofrecen al consumidor, as\u00ed como su modelo de negocio y su modelo financiero\u201d, detalla la firma especializada.<\/p>\n

La empresa se\u00f1ala que en lo que respecta a la protecci\u00f3n de dichos activos, actualmente en M\u00e9xico no es posible patentar algoritmos o un software de manera aislada, pues a\u00fan se requiere que haya un hardware de por medio para hacerlo, sin embargo las patentes no son los \u00fanicos medios de protecci\u00f3n para la propiedad intelectual.<\/p>\n

\u201cTecnolog\u00edas como Blockchain son soluciones viables para la protecci\u00f3n de dichos activos, sobre todo en el \u00e1mbito financiero, pues a trav\u00e9s de la generaci\u00f3n de un c\u00f3digo alfanum\u00e9rico seguro e inmutable, es posible resguardar cada mejora o innovaci\u00f3n, y no solo eso, sino tambi\u00e9n procesos y secretos industriales de los bancos y las fintechs\u201d, detalla.<\/p>\n

La firma insisti\u00f3 que este tipo de propuestas ser\u00e1n interesantes y ben\u00e9ficas para el avance tecnol\u00f3gico e innovador de nuestro pa\u00eds, aunque destacan que las instituciones de Fintech y banca deben tomar en cuenta que estos desarrollos pueden verse en peligro pudiendo exponerse a perder su diferenciaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pidamente.<\/p>\n
