Durante d\u00e9cadas\u00a0<strong>la investigaci\u00f3n se ha centrado en el litio<\/strong>; ya es momento que esta tecnolog\u00eda se reinvente, que se busquen alternativas potentes, duraderas, rentables y sostenibles.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-descripci-n-de-los-elementos\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Descripci\u00f3n de los elementos<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>El sodio es el sexto elemento m\u00e1s abundante en la corteza terrestre<\/strong>. Con un 2.83% en sus formas combinadas y el segundo m\u00e1s abundante en la soluci\u00f3n del mar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las sales de sodio se encuentran en el agua de mar, lagos salados, lagos alcalinos, oc\u00e9anos y manantiales minerales.\u00a0<strong>El sodio es un recurso ilimitado que se tiene a la mano<\/strong>, en la mesa, y es la ventaja m\u00e1s grande que\u00a0<strong>las bater\u00edas de ion-sodio presentan antes las de ion-litio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">El litio<\/span>\u00a0es un recurso limitado<\/strong>, y que s\u00f3lo se encuentra en algunas zonas geogr\u00e1ficas y cada vez\u00a0<strong>supone m\u00e1s esfuerzo la extracci\u00f3n de estas sales raras<\/strong>; sin dejar de lado los da\u00f1os ambientales que se provocan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"td_block_wrap tdb_single_content tdi_114_300 td-pb-border-top td_block_template_5 td-post-content tagdiv-type\" data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_114_300\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aunado a esto, el crecimiento del mercado de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos y la demanda de instalaciones estacionarias de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda\u00a0<strong>hacen suponer que las bater\u00edas de ion-litio no logren almacenar grandes cantidades de energ\u00eda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s, que posiblemente\u00a0<strong>su costo se eleve por los escases de este elemento<\/strong>, poniendo en pausa la transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20413 lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/kumpan-electric-0ucgsn8K2OU-unsplash-1-1024x684.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/kumpan-electric-0ucgsn8K2OU-unsplash-1-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/kumpan-electric-0ucgsn8K2OU-unsplash-1-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/kumpan-electric-0ucgsn8K2OU-unsplash-1-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/kumpan-electric-0ucgsn8K2OU-unsplash-1-696x465.jpg 696w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/kumpan-electric-0ucgsn8K2OU-unsplash-1-1068x714.jpg 1068w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/kumpan-electric-0ucgsn8K2OU-unsplash-1-628x420.jpg 628w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/kumpan-electric-0ucgsn8K2OU-unsplash-1.jpg 1200w\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" data-ll-status=\"loaded\" \/><figcaption>Bater\u00edas basadas en ION-SODIO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"h-alternativas-energ-ticas-las-bater-as\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Alternativas energ\u00e9ticas: las bater\u00edas<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las bater\u00edas de iones de sodio es la propuesta que en futuro no muy lejano pueda\u00a0<strong>hacer frente a la demanda de mercado del sector energ\u00e9tico<\/strong>\u00a0y generar sistemas de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda que se adapten a las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas; siendo una alternativa m\u00e1s barata y que\u00a0<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">ahorre recursos<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La iniciativa\u00a0<strong>de buscar otras alternativas que est\u00e9n a la altura de las bater\u00edas de ion-litio<\/strong>\u00a0en cuanto a densidad energ\u00e9tica,lleva a\u00f1os de investigaci\u00f3n. Pero no se hab\u00eda logrado producir una bater\u00eda que ofreciera condiciones similares a las de ion-litio; que permitiera almacenar grandes\u00a0<span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">cantidades de energ\u00eda<\/span>\u00a0a gran escala.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Las bater\u00edas de ion-sodio presentan desventajas que interfieren en el rendimiento de la bater\u00eda.<\/strong> En el proceso de carga\/descarga, se presenta una degradaci\u00f3n; en la superficie del c\u00e1todo se acumula una capa de cristales de sodio inactivos que detienen el flujo de los iones de sodio desencadenando el\u00a0<em><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">thermal runaway.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reci\u00e9nteme investigadores de la\u00a0<span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">Universidad de Washington State (WSU)\u00a0<\/span><strong>presentaron una alternativa real, tangible, asequible y que ahorra recursos<\/strong>; y que le da soluci\u00f3n a la formaci\u00f3n de cristales, permitiendo que el paso de iones entre el\u00a0<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">c\u00e1todo <\/span><\/strong>y el\u00a0<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">\u00e1nodo<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0sea m\u00e1s eficiente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Esta soluci\u00f3n\u00a0<strong>consiste en un nuevo c\u00e1todo basado en capas de \u00f3xido de metal<\/strong>\u00a0y un electrolito con una alta concentraci\u00f3n de iones de sodio.\u00a0<strong>Usar sodio en lugar de litio supone una gran ventaja econ\u00f3mica<\/strong>, se reducir\u00eda en un 80% los costos; pero no s\u00f3lo de la producci\u00f3n de bater\u00edas, sino que tambi\u00e9n de los dispositivos que utilizan esta tecnolog\u00eda para funcionar.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\">\n<div id=\"standard_3_child_1\" class=\"st-placement standard_3_child_1 inImage\">\n<div class=\"st-adunit st-reset st-show\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20423 lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2020121719354874195-1024x640.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2020121719354874195-1024x640.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2020121719354874195-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2020121719354874195-768x480.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2020121719354874195-696x435.jpg 696w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2020121719354874195-1068x668.jpg 1068w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2020121719354874195-672x420.jpg 672w, https:\/\/www.talent-republic.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2020121719354874195.jpg 1200w\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" data-ll-status=\"loaded\" \/><figcaption>Fuente:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hibridosyelectricos.com\/articulo\/tecnologia\/baterias-sodio-ganan-litio-gracias-nuevo-material-anodo\/20201217193834040945.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">H\u00edbridos y el\u00e9ctricos<\/span><\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aunque el rendimiento del bater\u00eda de iones de sodio aun es inferior a las de ion-litio por su baja densidad energ\u00e9tica, el sodio est\u00e1 disponible en todas partes; es m\u00e1s barato y\u00a0<strong>asegura la estabilidad y el crecimiento del sector energ\u00e9tico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fuente:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reyes, E.
