{"id":2241,"date":"2016-04-27T12:11:39","date_gmt":"2016-04-27T18:11:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=2241"},"modified":"2016-04-27T12:11:39","modified_gmt":"2016-04-27T18:11:39","slug":"fertilizantes-ecologicos-a-partir-de-la-luz-solar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/biotecnologia\/fertilizantes-ecologicos-a-partir-de-la-luz-solar\/","title":{"rendered":"Fertilizantes ecol\u00f3gicos a partir de la luz solar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Un nuevo m\u00e9todo, no da\u00f1ino para el medio ambiente y basado en la energ\u00eda fotoqu\u00edmica<!--more-->, permite producir amon\u00edaco, el principal ingrediente de los fertilizantes comerciales, usando luz solar.<br \/>\nTodos los seres vivos requieren nitr\u00f3geno para sobrevivir, pero el mundo depende de s\u00f3lo de dos procesos conocidos para romper los enlaces ultra-fuertes de nitr\u00f3geno que permitan convertirlos en una forma que puedan consumir humanos, animales y plantas.<br \/>\nUno es un proceso natural bacteriano del que los agricultores han dependido desde los albores de la agricultura y el otro es el proceso centenario Haber-Bosch, que revolucion\u00f3 la producci\u00f3n de fertilizantes y estimul\u00f3 el crecimiento sin precedentes de la oferta mundial de alimentos.<br \/>\n&#8220;Vivimos en un mar de nitr\u00f3geno, sin embargo, nuestros cuerpos no pueden acceder a \u00e9l desde el aire &#8211;explica el bioqu\u00edmico de la Universidad Estatal de Utah (USU, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), Estados Unidos, Lance Seefeldt&#8211;. King, del Laboratorio Nacional de Energ\u00eda Renovable (NREL, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), en Colorado; Molly Wilker, Hayden Hamby y Gordana Dukovic, de la Universidad de Colorado, y Stephen Keable y John Peters, de la Universidad del Estado de Montana, detalla sus hallazgos en un art\u00edculo publicado en &#8216;Science&#8217;.<br \/>\nEn cualquier forma que se mire, la fijaci\u00f3n de nitr\u00f3geno es un proceso que consume mucha energ\u00eda, seg\u00fan Seefeldt, profesor del Departamento de Qu\u00edmica y Bioqu\u00edmica de USU y la Asociaci\u00f3n Americana para el Avance de la Ciencia. &#8220;El proceso de Haber-Bosch consume actualmente alrededor del 2 por ciento del suministro de combustibles f\u00f3siles del mundo -alerta&#8211;. Por lo tanto, el nuevo proceso, que utiliza nanomateriales para capturar energ\u00eda de la luz, podr\u00eda ser un cambio de juego&#8221;.<br \/>\n&#8220;Usar directamente luz para crear un catalizador es mucho m\u00e1s eficiente energ\u00e9ticamente &#8211;subraya Brown, cient\u00edfico investigador en NREL&#8211;.
