style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">M\u00faltiples factores ambientales influyen en la composici\u00f3n y el funcionamiento de los microbiomas del suelo, pero estas respuestas generalmente se estudian desde una perspectiva ecol\u00f3gica, preguntando qu\u00e9 especies microbianas sufrieron o disminuyeron en abundancia a medida que cambian las condiciones ambientales. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">En el estudio actual, el equipo de la UCI investig\u00f3 si las especies bacterianas en el suelo tambi\u00e9n evolucionan style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8220;Sabemos que la evoluci\u00f3n puede ocurrir muy r\u00e1pidamente en las bacterias, como en respuesta a los antibi\u00f3ticos, pero no sabemos qu\u00e9 tan importante podr\u00eda ser la evoluci\u00f3n para las bacterias en el medio ambiente con el cambio clim\u00e1tico en curso&#8221;, dijo en un comunicado el doctor Alex Chase, autor principal del estudio y ex estudiante de posgrado en la UCI.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Varias caracter\u00edsticas inherentes inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cLas predicciones actuales sobre c\u00f3mo el cambio clim\u00e1tico afectar\u00e1 a los microbiomas suponen que las especies microbianas son est\u00e1ticas. natural, los investigadores desplegaron un primer experimento de evoluci\u00f3n bacteriana en el campo, utilizando una bacteria del suelo llamada Curtobacterium. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Los investigadores utilizaron 125 \u201cjaulas microbianas\u201d llenas de alimento microbiano compuesto de material vegetal muerto. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Las jaulas permiten el transporte de agua, pero no de otros microbios). <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Luego, las jaulas expusieron a las bacterias a una variedad de condiciones clim\u00e1ticas a trav\u00e9s de un gradiente de elevaci\u00f3n en el sur style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cLas jaulas microbianas nos permitieron controlar los tipos de bacterias que estaban presentes, inherit;\">En el primer experimento que conten\u00eda un microbioma de suelo diverso, diferentes especies de Curtobacterium cambiaron en abundancia, una respuesta ecol\u00f3gica esperada. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">En el segundo experimento durante el mismo per\u00edodo de tiempo, la diversidad gen\u00e9tica de una sola bacteria Curtobacterium cambi\u00f3, revelando una respuesta evolutiva a las mismas condiciones ambientales.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Los autores concluyen que tanto los procesos ecol\u00f3gicos como los evolutivos tienen el potencial de contribuir a c\u00f3mo un microbioma del suelo responde a las condiciones clim\u00e1ticas
