{"id":23608,"date":"2021-07-12T09:47:43","date_gmt":"2021-07-12T15:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=23608"},"modified":"2021-07-12T09:47:56","modified_gmt":"2021-07-12T15:47:56","slug":"un-electrodo-oled-nanotecnologico-mejora-la-duracion-de-la-bateria-al-liberar-un-20-mas-de-luz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/nanotecnologia\/un-electrodo-oled-nanotecnologico-mejora-la-duracion-de-la-bateria-al-liberar-un-20-mas-de-luz\/","title":{"rendered":"Un electrodo OLED nanotecnol\u00f3gico mejora la duraci\u00f3n de la bater\u00eda al liberar un 20% m\u00e1s de luz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Investigadores de la Universidad de Michigan han desarrollado un nuevo electrodo que podr\u00eda liberar un 20% m\u00e1s de luz de los diodos org\u00e1nicos emisores de luz (OLED).<!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El nuevo electrodo nanotecnol\u00f3gico para OLED\u00a0<strong>podr\u00eda ayudar a prolongar la duraci\u00f3n de las bater\u00edas<\/strong>\u00a0de los tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes y los ordenadores port\u00e1tiles o hacer que los televisores y las pantallas de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n sean mucho m\u00e1s eficientes desde el punto de vista energ\u00e9tico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Actualmente, cerca del 80% de la luz producida por un OLED queda atrapada en el interior del dispositivo. Esto se debe a un efecto conocido como gu\u00eda de ondas, en el que los rayos de luz que no salen del dispositivo en un \u00e1ngulo cercano a la perpendicular se reflejan y se gu\u00edan lateralmente a trav\u00e9s del dispositivo. Acaban perdi\u00e9ndose dentro del OLED.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Uno de los principales responsables es el electrodo transparente que se interpone entre el material emisor de luz y el cristal, normalmente hecho de \u00f3xido de indio y esta\u00f1o (ITO).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Los investigadores sustituyeron el ITO por una capa de plata de s\u00f3lo cinco nan\u00f3metros de grosor, depositada sobre una capa inicial de cobre, manteniendo la funci\u00f3n de electrodo y eliminando el problema de la gu\u00eda de ondas. Esta t\u00e9cnica, sencilla pero eficaz, tambi\u00e9n ha mejorado significativamente el rendimiento de la eficiencia cu\u00e1ntica externa del OLED.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sin tratar, es la capa de gu\u00eda de ondas m\u00e1s fuerte del OLED. Queremos abordar la ra\u00edz del problema.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><cite>L. Jay Guo, profesor de ingenier\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica e inform\u00e1tica de la Universidad de Michigan.<\/cite><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La industria podr\u00eda liberar m\u00e1s del 40% de la luz, en parte cambiando los electrodos convencionales de \u00f3xido de indio y esta\u00f1o por nuestra capa a nanoescala de plata transparente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><cite>Changyeong Jeong, candidato a doctor en ingenier\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica e inform\u00e1tica.<\/cite><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La soluci\u00f3n de Jeong y Guo no s\u00f3lo es sencilla en el proceso, sino que tambi\u00e9n puede lograr un alto rendimiento y un bajo coste con una excelente compatibilidad con el proceso de fabricaci\u00f3n a gran escala en la industria de las pantallas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Seg\u00fan los investigadores, el nuevo enfoque tambi\u00e9n puede aplicarse con \u00e9xito a otros diodos emisores de luz s\u00f3lidos (LED) susceptibles de sufrir el problema de la gu\u00eda de ondas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Para demostrar que hab\u00edan eliminado la gu\u00eda de ondas en el emisor de luz, el equipo de Guo ten\u00eda que detener tambi\u00e9n el atrapamiento de la luz por el vidrio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Para esto, usaron un l\u00edquido con el mismo \u00edndice de refracci\u00f3n que el vidrio, el llamado fluido de coincidencia de \u00edndices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A continuaci\u00f3n, observaron su montaje experimental desde un lado y comprobaron si la luz entraba por los lados. El equipo descubri\u00f3 que el borde de la capa emisora de luz estaba casi completamente oscuro.
