calor en electricidad\u2013 de alto rendimiento en una forma pr\u00e1ctica que se puede utilizar en el desarrollo de dispositivos.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">El material, seleniuro de esta\u00f1o purificado en forma policristalina, supera a la forma monocristalina en la conversi\u00f3n de calor en electricidad, lo que lo convierte en el sistema termoel\u00e9ctrico m\u00e1s eficiente registrado. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Los investigadores pudieron lograr la alta tasa de conversi\u00f3n despu\u00e9s de identificar y eliminar un problema de oxidaci\u00f3n que hab\u00eda degradado el rendimiento en estudios anteriores.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: podr\u00eda desarrollarse para su uso en dispositivos termoel\u00e9ctricos de estado s\u00f3lido en una variedad de industrias, con ahorros de energ\u00eda potencialmente enormes. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Un objetivo de aplicaci\u00f3n clave es capturar el calor residual industrial, como el de las plantas de energ\u00eda, la industria automotriz y las f\u00e1bricas de vidrio y ladrillos, y convertirlo en electricidad. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">M\u00e1s del 65% de la energ\u00eda producida a nivel mundial a partir de combustibles f\u00f3siles se pierde como calor residual.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cLos dispositivos termoel\u00e9ctricos est\u00e1n en uso, pero s\u00f3lo en aplicaciones espec\u00edficas, como en el rover Perseverance de Marte\u201d, dijo en un comunicado la coautora de la investigaci\u00f3n Mercouri Kanatzidis de la Universidad Northwestern, qu\u00edmica que se especializa en el dise\u00f1o de nuevos materiales. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cEstos dispositivos no se han popularizado como las c\u00e9lulas solares, y existen desaf\u00edos importantes para hacer buenos. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Nos estamos enfocando en desarrollar un material que sea de bajo costo y alto rendimiento y que impulse los dispositivos termoel\u00e9ctricos a una aplicaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s generalizada
