&#8220;bajo costo&#8221; de un megavatio que cabe en un contenedor de transporte, alimenta a unas 1.000 viviendas y utiliza un refrigerante de helio en lugar de agua.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fundada por ex ingenieros de SpaceX, que decidieron que las fuentes de energ\u00eda de la colonia de Marte que estaban investigando tendr\u00edan un mayor impacto m\u00e1s cerca de casa, Radiant ha obtenido US $ 1,2 millones de inversores \u00e1ngeles para continuar trabajando en sus reactores, que est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados espec\u00edficamente para ser altamente port\u00e1tiles, r\u00e1pidos de implementar y eficaces dondequiera que se implementen;\u00a0las comunidades remotas y las zonas de desastre son los primeros objetivos.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"recirculation\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El ej\u00e9rcito es otro mercado clave aqu\u00ed; algunos de estos podr\u00edan alimentar una base militar completa en un \u00e1rea remota durante cuatro a ocho a\u00f1os antes de gastar su &#8220;combustible de part\u00edculas avanzado&#8221;, eliminando no solo las emisiones de los generadores diesel actuales, sino tambi\u00e9n la necesidad de traer constantemente camiones llenos de combustible para este prop\u00f3sito.<\/span><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Esos camiones todav\u00eda tendr\u00e1n que funcionar, hasta el punto en que el ej\u00e9rcito abandone el diesel en todos sus veh\u00edculos, pero ser\u00e1n mucho menos frecuentes, lo que reducir\u00e1 un riesgo significativo para el personal de transporte.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-align-center=\"\">\n<div temperaturas m\u00e1s altas en comparaci\u00f3n con los combustibles nucleares tradicionales&#8221;.\u00a0El uso de helio como refrigerante &#8220;reduce en gran medida los riesgos de corrosi\u00f3n, ebullici\u00f3n y contaminaci\u00f3n&#8221;, y la compa\u00f1\u00eda dice que ha recibido patentes provisionales por ideas que ha desarrollado en torno al reabastecimiento de combustible de los reactores y el transporte eficiente de calor fuera del n\u00facleo del reactor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Radiant se une a varias empresas que ahora trabajan en reactores nucleares compactos, y un n\u00famero menor se centra espec\u00edficamente en unidades port\u00e1tiles, que incluir\u00edan las\u00a0<a class=\"Link\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/newatlas.com\/energy\/seaborg-floating-nuclear-reactor-barge\/?itm_source=newatlas&amp;itm_medium=article-body\" data-cms-ai=\"0\">barcazas flotantes propuestas para la fabricaci\u00f3n en masa por Seaborg<\/a>\u00a0.\u00a0Pasar\u00e1 un tiempo antes de que veamos uno en funcionamiento, pero una alternativa limpia, conveniente, de bajo costo y de larga duraci\u00f3n
