Posarse sobre una superficie, mientras se lleva a cabo una misi\u00f3n, proporciona un modo de reducir notablemente los costes energ\u00e9ticos y de incrementar la duraci\u00f3n de las misiones. Si bien existen varias opciones diferentes para crear un robot capaz de posarse en una superficie que no necesariamente sea el suelo (podr\u00eda ser una pared u otra casi tan inclinada, e incluso un techo), no todas se trasladan bien a los robots muy peque\u00f1os. Por ejemplo, aplicar un adhesivo qu\u00edmico para ayudarle a unirse a la superficie puede facilitar el aterrizaje inicial, pero puede ser problem\u00e1tico cuando el ligero robot necesita desprenderse del lugar y reanudar el vuelo.<\/p>\n<p>Aqu\u00ed es donde entra en escena el equipo de Moritz Alexander Graule, de la Escuela de Ingenier\u00eda y Ciencias Aplicadas (SEAS), adscrita a la Universidad de Harvard en Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p>Graule y sus colegas crearon un robot de inspiraci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica, denominado RoboBee, que se posa y se mantiene en el lugar de aterrizaje usando fuerzas electrost\u00e1ticas. Eso le permite aterrizar incluso en techos. En la parte superior del peque\u00f1o robot volador situaron un &#8220;parche&#8221; de aterrizaje electrost\u00e1tico que distribuye uniformemente una carga el\u00e9ctrica est\u00e1tica. El parche est\u00e1 hecho de espuma para ayudar a amortiguar el impacto del aterrizaje, de manera que el robot no rebote desde la superficie.<\/p>\n<p>Inspirados por la t\u00e9cnica visual que utilizan las abejas de la miel al aterrizar, los miembros del equipo desarrollaron un sistema de c\u00e1maras de seguimiento del movimiento que ayudan al robot a alinearse con su &#8220;pista&#8221; de aterrizaje o diana.<\/p>\n<p>A trav\u00e9s de una serie de experimentos, el equipo ha demostrado la capacidad del robot de posarse en una amplia gama de superficies, incluyendo cristal, madera, e
