Cuando el tubo se divide en tres canales, las part\u00edculas micropl\u00e1sticas son presionadas hacia el centro mientras el agua limpia fluye hacia los dos canales exteriores.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los micropl\u00e1sticos se liberan en el medio ambiente a trav\u00e9s de los cosm\u00e9ticos, la ropa y los procesos industriales o de los productos de pl\u00e1stico m\u00e1s grandes cuando se descomponen de forma natural y acaban llegando a los r\u00edos y los oc\u00e9anos, lo que supone un problema para la vida marina. Filtrar y eliminar las peque\u00f1as part\u00edculas del agua es una tarea dif\u00edcil, pero las ondas ac\u00fasticas pueden aportar una soluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dhany Arifianto, del Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember de Surabaya (Indonesia), y su equipo utilizaron dos altavoces para crear ondas ac\u00fasticas. La fuerza producida por las ondas separa los micropl\u00e1sticos del agua creando presi\u00f3n en un tubo de agua entrante. En el punto donde el tubo se divide en tres canales, las part\u00edculas de micropl\u00e1stico son presionadas hacia el centro mientras el agua limpia fluye hacia los dos canales exteriores.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El dispositivo prototipo limpi\u00f3 150 litros por hora de agua contaminada y se prob\u00f3 con tres micropl\u00e1sticos diferentes. Cada pl\u00e1stico se filtr\u00f3 con una eficacia diferente, pero todos tuvieron una eficacia superior al 56% en agua pura y al 58% en agua de mar. La frecuencia ac\u00fastica, la distancia entre el altavoz y el tubo y la densidad del agua afectaron a la cantidad de fuerza generada y, por tanto, a la eficacia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las ondas ac\u00fasticas pueden afectar a la vida marina si la frecuencia de las ondas est\u00e1 en el rango audible.
