estructura qu\u00edmica de un hogar com\u00fan, logrando convertirlo en un adhesivo reutilizable con propiedades \u00fanicas y muy prometedoras.<\/span><\/span><!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">El hallazgo se hizo posible gracias a los investigadores del Laboratorio Nacional Oak Ridge del Departamento de Energ\u00eda de EE.UU., quienes utilizaron poliestireno o SEBS como punto de partida para crear uno de los materiales m\u00e1s resistentes conocidos por la ciencia, seg\u00fan palabras de sus creadores.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Esto se modificar\u00e1 a trav\u00e9s de un proceso conocido como ratificaci\u00f3n din\u00e1mica, que permite unir materiales normalmente incompatibles.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Los cient\u00edficos usaron la t\u00e9cnica de unir nanopart\u00edculas de s\u00edlice y pol\u00edmero con la ayuda de compuestos llamados \u00e9steres bor\u00f3nicos, lo que dio como resultado un nuevo material reticulado al que llamaron SiNP.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">El principal descubrimiento de este proceso qu\u00edmico fue que los \u00e9steres bor\u00f3nicos del SEBS tienen la capacidad de reorganizar los enlaces con los grupos de hidroxilos, ox\u00edgeno e hidr\u00f3geno del SiNP, lo que permite adaptar sus propiedades para los trabajos m\u00e1s complejos y exigentes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Este nuevo material puede adherirse a las superficies con la fuerza suficiente y soportar hasta 136 kg, seg\u00fan lo se\u00f1alado por los cient\u00edficos.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Por otro lado, los investigadores midieron la fuerza del material con otros adhesivos presentes en el mercado, superando ampliamente a cada uno de ellos. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Seg\u00fan los cient\u00edficos, la combinaci\u00f3n de resistencia y ductilidad lo convierte en uno de los materiales m\u00e1s resistentes de la historia.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cLos adhesivos fuertes y resistentes son dif\u00edciles de dise\u00f1ar porque necesitan incorporar caracter\u00edsticas duras y blandas que normalmente no son compatibles. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">El desaf\u00edo ha sido agregar la dureza que obtienes en materiales flexibles sin sacrificar la resistencia. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Nuestro enfoque utiliza enlaces qu\u00edmicos din\u00e1micos para desarrollar un adhesivo novedoso con propiedades notables que no se ven en los materiales actuales\u201d, dijo el cient\u00edfico Tomonori Saito, de ORNL y autor del descubrimiento.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">El adhesivo tambi\u00e9n es reciclable y mantiene su rendimiento a temperaturas superiores a los 204\u00b0C, lo que lo hace adecuado para aplicaciones a altas temperaturas. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Los cient\u00edficos se\u00f1alan que podr\u00eda encontrar su uso en la industria aeroespacial, automotriz y la construcci\u00f3n, por lo que se est\u00e1 trabajando para comercializar el producto mientras mejoran esta nueva tecnolog\u00eda.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cExisten beneficios para la industria y el medio ambiente para ahorrar recursos y reducir los desechos\u201d, dijo Saito. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cPor su
