El estudio fue iniciado por el profesor Alexandros Tsamis del Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico Rensselaer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La propuesta quiere solucionar el problema de la corrosi\u00f3n del acero en las estructuras de hormig\u00f3n armado.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Una necesidad a la que se suma la de seguir reduciendo la carga medioambiental de la industria de la construcci\u00f3n. Y en este contexto, el acero es sin duda uno de los responsables directos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La investigaci\u00f3n forma parte del proyecto Seed to City Hemp. La infiltraci\u00f3n de humedad compromete la resistencia del material.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Seg\u00fan la investigaci\u00f3n, la sustituci\u00f3n de las estructuras por refuerzos de c\u00e1\u00f1amo\u00a0<strong>prolongar\u00eda la vida \u00fatil de los edificios y reducir\u00eda considerablemente las emisiones<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El compuesto probado por Rensselaer usa las fibras del tallo del c\u00e1\u00f1amo, combin\u00e1ndolas con una resina biopl\u00e1stica que ha sido calentada t\u00e9rmicamente y fusionada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Para crear estos refuerzos especiales de c\u00e1\u00f1amo se us\u00f3 una m\u00e1quina CNC especial instalada en los laboratorios del Polit\u00e9cnico de Rensselaer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La vida \u00fatil de las estructuras portantes podr\u00eda prolongarse durante d\u00e9cadas. Como los materiales alternativos, como el vidrio o las fibras de carbono, pero con unos costes incre\u00edblemente bajos.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">En lugar de sacarlo de la tierra, se cultiva.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Evidentemente, el proyecto a\u00fan est\u00e1 en sus primeras fases, pero los investigadores implicados afirman que la tecnolog\u00eda y los conocimientos para hacer realidad el prototipo ya existen y est\u00e1n al alcance de todos. Lo \u00fanico que falta es una cadena de suministro de la materia prima, el c\u00e1\u00f1amo industrial.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Qu\u00e9 es el c\u00e1\u00f1amo industrial.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El c\u00e1\u00f1amo industrial es un tipo de cannabis que contiene una cantidad muy peque\u00f1a de THC psicoactivo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sus fibras est\u00e1n entre las m\u00e1s resistentes del mundo vegetal, a la par que la fibra de vidrio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Otro caracter\u00edstica es la velocidad de crecimiento.
