{"id":26793,"date":"2022-04-04T10:17:59","date_gmt":"2022-04-04T16:17:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=26793"},"modified":"2022-04-04T10:17:59","modified_gmt":"2022-04-04T16:17:59","slug":"investigadores-desarrollan-celulas-solares-ultrafinas-que-capturan-el-65-de-la-luz-solar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/energias-alternas\/investigadores-desarrollan-celulas-solares-ultrafinas-que-capturan-el-65-de-la-luz-solar\/","title":{"rendered":"Investigadores desarrollan c\u00e9lulas solares ultrafinas que capturan el 65% de la luz solar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Las c\u00e9lulas, 100 veces m\u00e1s finas que el papel, podr\u00edan reducir los costes de generaci\u00f3n solar y aumentar su eficiencia.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores han desarrollado una c\u00e9lula solar de 1\u03bcm (micr\u00f3metro) de grosor capaz de convertir el 66,5% de la luz solar en electricidad.<\/p>\n<p>Un art\u00edculo cient\u00edfico publicado en la revista ACS Photonics detalla una c\u00e9lula de silicio que genera 26,3mA\/cm\u00b2 (miliamperios por cent\u00edmetro cuadrado) en condiciones de laboratorio. Esto supone un aumento del 25% respecto al anterior r\u00e9cord solar ultrafino de 19,72 mA\/cm\u00b2 logrado en 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores estiman que las c\u00e9lulas, aproximadamente\u00a0<strong>100 veces m\u00e1s finas que una hoja de papel<\/strong>\u00a0est\u00e1ndar internacional, podr\u00edan mejorar a\u00fan m\u00e1s hasta alcanzar los 33,8 mA\/cm\u00b2. Esto crear\u00eda una c\u00e9lula fotovoltaica con una eficiencia del 21%, m\u00e1s o menos en l\u00ednea con los paneles m\u00e1s grandes.<\/p>\n<p>Las c\u00e9lulas solares ultradelgadas desarrolladas se basan en estructuras cristalinas ultradelgadas ya desarrolladas, pero usan \u00ab<em>patrones hiperuniformes desordenados correlacionados<\/em>\u00ab. \u00c9stos permiten m\u00e1s del doble de absorci\u00f3n de luz solar que una placa de silicio uniforme.<\/p>\n<p>Acad\u00e9micos de la Universidad brit\u00e1nica de Surrey y del Imperial College de Londres colaboraron con investigadores del Centro de Nanofot\u00f3nica y del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n Avanzada de Nanolitograf\u00eda, ambos en los Pa\u00edses Bajos, para desarrollar la c\u00e9lula.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo fabric\u00f3 las c\u00e9lulas de prueba usando cristales de silicio ultrafinos, \u00abgrabando\u00bb estos con patrones mediante litograf\u00eda de haz de electrones y fluidos de grabado. El producto final ten\u00eda un grosor ligeramente variable de aproximadamente 1,18\u03bcm en \u00e1reas de 1,3\u00d71,3 mm\u00b2 o 4,8\u00d74,8 mm\u00b2.<\/p>\n<p>Los desarrolladores dicen que ahora investigar\u00e1n la asociaci\u00f3n comercial y las posibles t\u00e9cnicas de fabricaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>Uno de los retos de trabajar con el silicio es que casi un tercio de la luz rebota directamente en \u00e9l sin ser absorbida ni aprovechada la energ\u00eda.
