Ahora, un estudio de la Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica Chalmers en Suecia est\u00e1 m\u00e1s cerca de ese prop\u00f3sito, tras crear una m\u00e1quina que permite capturar y almacenar energ\u00eda solar hasta por 18 a\u00f1os, y en forma l\u00edquida.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El m\u00e9todo, bautizado como MOST \u2013 sistema solar t\u00e9rmico molecular por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s \u2013 se centra en mol\u00e9culas de carbono, hidr\u00f3geno y nitr\u00f3geno que, en contacto con la luz solar, cambian de forma a un is\u00f3mero que se puede almacenar en forma l\u00edquida para su uso posterior cuando sea necesario, como por la noche o en invierno.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abEsta es una forma radicalmente nueva de generar electricidad a partir de la energ\u00eda solar. Significa que podemos usar la energ\u00eda solar para producir electricidad independientemente del clima, la hora del d\u00eda, la estaci\u00f3n o la ubicaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica\u201d, Kasper Moth-Poulsen, profesor del Departamento de Qu\u00edmica e Ingenier\u00eda Qu\u00edmica de Chalmers. \u201cEs un sistema cerrado que puede operar sin generar emisiones de carbono\u00bb. emisiones de di\u00f3xido de carbono\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Energ\u00eda solar transportable<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 2017, este grupo de investigadores dise\u00f1\u00f3 un sistema que permite producir electricidad al conectarla a un generador termoel\u00e9ctrico. Tras obtener esta combinaci\u00f3n molecular, pudieron enviarla a la Universidad Jiao Tong en Shanghai, en donde pudieron liberar la energ\u00eda al estimularla con el generador.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En concreto, los investigadores pudieron \u201cenviar energ\u00eda almacenada\u201d de un punto a otro y permitir su uso.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El potencial de esta investigaci\u00f3n apunta a la producci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda renovable y libre de emisiones. \u00abJunto con los diversos grupos de investigaci\u00f3n incluidos en el proyecto, ahora estamos trabajando para optimizar el sistema. Es necesario aumentar la cantidad de electricidad o calor que puede extraer. Incluso si el sistema de energ\u00eda se basa en materiales b\u00e1sicos simples, debe adaptarse para que su producci\u00f3n sea lo suficientemente rentable y, por lo tanto, sea posible lanzarla de manera m\u00e1s amplia\u00bb, dice Kasper Moth-Poulsen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El grupo ha venido mejorando las capacidades de MOST hasta el punto de almacenar la energ\u00eda hasta por 18 a\u00f1os.
