UU. ahora es un poco m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida.\u00a0Energy Sciences Network (Esnet) se ha actualizado a ESnet6, con un ancho de banda incre\u00edble de 46 Terabits por segundo (Tbps).\u00a0Pero todav\u00eda no se calienten los dedos para descargar, es estrictamente solo para cient\u00edficos.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El ESnet original se estableci\u00f3 en 1986 para ayudar a conectar a los cient\u00edficos en varios laboratorios del Departamento de Energ\u00eda (DOE) de los EE. UU., lo que les permiti\u00f3 compartir r\u00e1pidamente grandes cantidades de datos sin procesar.\u00a0En las d\u00e9cadas posteriores, ha tenido muchas actualizaciones para mantenerse al d\u00eda con los avances en tecnolog\u00eda y la gran cantidad de datos generados por experimentos cient\u00edficos. En 2021, se transmitieron a trav\u00e9s de la red la asombrosa cantidad de 1,1 exabytes de datos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Y ahora viene el siguiente salto generacional. ESnet6 se compone de 15 000 millas (24 000 km) de cables de fibra \u00f3ptica dedicados que se extienden por todo el pa\u00eds, lo que permite enlaces troncales de red que pueden transferir datos entre 400 Gigabits por segundo (Gbps) y 1 Tbps cada uno. Ya era la red de Internet m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida del mundo, pero ahora simplemente consolida ese liderazgo con un ancho de banda de hasta 46 Tbps.
