Las previsiones indican que su prevalencia aumentar\u00e1 debido al envejecimiento de la poblaci\u00f3n. Por otra parte, en ocasiones las pruebas de diagn\u00f3stico por imagen (como los rayos X y las resonancias, por ejemplo) con las que se diagnostican estas enfermedades solo permiten evaluar el da\u00f1o tisular causado por la enfermedad.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Un equipo de cient\u00edficos del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n del C\u00e1ncer, centro mixto del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cient\u00edficas (CSIC) y la Universidad de Salamanca (USAL), en Espa\u00f1a, ha dise\u00f1ado y desarrollado un chip que permite el diagn\u00f3stico de patolog\u00edas articulares, como la artrosis y la artritis reumatoide. La metodolog\u00eda empleada se basa en t\u00e9cnicas de la prote\u00f3mica y su ventaja es que es muy reproducible y robusta para su traslaci\u00f3n a la cl\u00ednica. Adem\u00e1s, presenta un gran potencial para el descubrimiento y verificaci\u00f3n de biomarcadores, por lo que los resultados de esta investigaci\u00f3n podr\u00edan ayudar a aumentar la calidad de vida de la poblaci\u00f3n envejecida.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El chip, dise\u00f1ado y desarrollado por el grupo que dirige Manuel Fuentes, del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n del C\u00e1ncer, ha permitido determinar biomarcadores de diagn\u00f3stico temprano, el cual podr\u00e1 llevarse a cabo en el \u00e1mbito m\u00e9dico mediante un an\u00e1lisis sencillo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Este estudio est\u00e1 enfocado a facilitar la traslaci\u00f3n a la cl\u00ednica r\u00e1pidamente. La investigaci\u00f3n se ha realizado con muestras cl\u00ednicas y se han correlacionado los perfiles proteicos s\u00e9ricos con los par\u00e1metros cl\u00ednicos y biol\u00f3gicos asociados al diagn\u00f3stico de las patolog\u00edas articulares.
