{"id":28506,"date":"2023-02-27T09:52:30","date_gmt":"2023-02-27T15:52:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=28506"},"modified":"2023-02-27T09:52:30","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T15:52:30","slug":"nuevo-estado-cuantico-aumenta-la-conductividad-del-material-en-un-billon-por-ciento","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/tech\/nuevo-estado-cuantico-aumenta-la-conductividad-del-material-en-un-billon-por-ciento\/","title":{"rendered":"Nuevo estado cu\u00e1ntico aumenta la conductividad del material en un bill\u00f3n por ciento"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-gtm-vis-recent-on-screen-8631395_73=\"505880\" data-gtm-vis-first-on-screen-8631395_73=\"505880\" data-gtm-vis-total-visible-time-8631395_73=\"100\" data-gtm-vis-has-fired-8631395_73=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Los cient\u00edficos de Georgia Tech han descubierto un nuevo estado cu\u00e1ntico en un material peculiar.\u00a0En un fen\u00f3meno nunca antes visto en ning\u00fan otro lugar, el equipo descubri\u00f3 que la aplicaci\u00f3n de un campo magn\u00e9tico aumentaba la conductividad el\u00e9ctrica del material en un bill\u00f3n por ciento.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Se sabe que algunos materiales cambian su conductividad en respuesta a un campo magn\u00e9tico cambiante, una propiedad llamada magnetorresistencia.\u00a0Pero en el nuevo estudio, el material lo hace en un grado incre\u00edble, exhibiendo una magnetorresistencia\u00a0<i>colosal<\/i> .<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El material es una aleaci\u00f3n de manganeso, silicio y telurio, que adopta la forma de celdas octogonales dispuestas en forma de panal y apiladas en l\u00e1minas.\u00a0Los electrones se mueven por el exterior de esos oct\u00f3gonos, pero cuando no se aplica un campo magn\u00e9tico, viajan en direcciones aleatorias, provocando un atasco de tr\u00e1fico.\u00a0Eso efectivamente hace que el material act\u00fae como un aislante.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pero cuando se aplica el campo magn\u00e9tico, los electrones comienzan a moverse en una direcci\u00f3n determinada, lo que les permite fluir r\u00e1pidamente y generar una corriente el\u00e9ctrica.\u00a0Eso lo convierte en un conductor muy efectivo; de hecho, es un aumento de conductividad de siete magnitudes.\u00a0Para decirlo de otra manera, eso es un impulso de mil millones por ciento.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lo m\u00e1s intrigante es que este interruptor solo funciona si el campo magn\u00e9tico se aplica de forma perpendicular a la superficie del material.\u00a0En todos los dem\u00e1s materiales conocidos que muestran magnetorresistencia, el \u00e1ngulo del campo magn\u00e9tico no influye en la fuerza del efecto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cEl fen\u00f3meno desaf\u00eda todos los modelos te\u00f3ricos y precedentes experimentales existentes\u201d, dijo Itamar Kimchi, autor del estudio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">En otros experimentos, el equipo descubri\u00f3 que el interruptor tambi\u00e9n se puede activar aplicando una corriente el\u00e9ctrica.\u00a0Esto sucede m\u00e1s lentamente, tomando unos segundos o minutos para hacer la transici\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El equipo dice que esta segunda versi\u00f3n podr\u00eda aplicarse de manera m\u00e1s inmediata a dispositivos cu\u00e1nticos, como computadoras, sensores y sistemas de comunicaci\u00f3n.\u00a0Pero antes de eso, ser\u00e1 necesario realizar m\u00e1s investigaciones para comprender mejor este nuevo estado cu\u00e1ntico e investigar otros materiales que podr\u00edan funcionar de la misma manera.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La investigaci\u00f3n fue publicada en la revista\u00a0<i><a class=\"Link\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41586-022-05262-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cms-ai=\"0\">Nature<\/a><\/i>\u00a0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fuente:\u00a0<a class=\"Link\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/news.gatech.edu\/news\/2023\/02\/23\/new-quantum-state-discovered-trimer-honeycomb-material\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cms-ai=\"0\">Tecnolog\u00eda de Georgia<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Irving, M.
