{"id":3126,"date":"2016-08-25T11:49:46","date_gmt":"2016-08-25T17:49:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=3126"},"modified":"2016-08-25T11:49:46","modified_gmt":"2016-08-25T17:49:46","slug":"crean-el-primer-robot-hecho-de-materiales-blandos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/tech\/crean-el-primer-robot-hecho-de-materiales-blandos\/","title":{"rendered":"Crean el primer robot hecho de materiales blandos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Investigadores de la Universidad de Harvard desarrollaron un robot bautizado como\u00a0Octobot,\u00a0hecho \u00edntegramente con materiales blandos y con la capacidad de moverse sin necesidad de bater\u00edas ni cables.<!--more-->Tendr\u00e1 aplicaciones en biomedicina y en tecnolog\u00edas port\u00e1tiles.<\/p>\n<p>El robot es totalmente aut\u00f3nomo, cuenta con forma de pulpo y ha sido fabricado con litograf\u00eda blanda y nueva t\u00e9cnica de\u00a0impresi\u00f3n 3D\u00a0embebida llamada EMB3D. El Octobot inaugura una nueva generaci\u00f3n de robots capaces de adaptarse a entornos naturales mejor que las m\u00e1quinas r\u00edgidas, refieren sus desarrolladores.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta ahora uno de los problemas que exist\u00eda en el desarrollo de estos robots hechos con materiales blandos era la alimentaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica, ya que era necesario el uso de cables, bater\u00edas u otros componentes de electr\u00f3nica tradicional.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMuchos grupos de investigaci\u00f3n de todo el mundo est\u00e1n interesados en la creaci\u00f3n de robots hechos de materiales blandos, pero estos sistemas todav\u00eda requieren\u00a0fuentes de energ\u00eda\u00a0y electr\u00f3nica convencionales que dificultan su desarrollo y sus posibles aplicaciones\u201d, dijo Ryan Truby, responsable de la investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La limitante se resolvi\u00f3 mediante el uso combinado de un combustible per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno y uncircuito l\u00f3gico\u00a0de microfluidos, que permiti\u00f3 hacer un robot blando aut\u00f3nomo sin necesidad de recurrir a las fuentes de energ\u00eda ni a los sistemas electr\u00f3nicos t\u00edpicos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/i1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3127 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/i1.jpg\" alt=\"i\" width=\"449\" height=\"299\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEn total hemos utilizado tres tipos diferentes de materiales para hacer el robot: PDMS, un\u00a0caucho de silicona\u00a0com\u00fan; un gel al que llamamos &#8216;tinta fugitiva&#8217;, usada para imprimir las redes actuadoras del dispositivo, y reservorios de combustible. Tambi\u00e9n hemos incluido una tinta catal\u00edtica que transporta part\u00edculas de platino que se convierten en catalizadores para la descomposici\u00f3n de combustible\u201d, dijo Truby.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente esta versi\u00f3n de\u00a0Octobot\u00a0tiene una autonom\u00eda de aproximadamente 10 minutos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSin embargo, nuestra estrategia de dise\u00f1o nos permitir\u00e1 en el futuro que estos robots funcionen con duraciones mucho m\u00e1s amplias, pr\u00e1cticamente del tiempo que se desee\u201d, agreg\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Entre sus posibles aplicaciones, los investigadores destacan que este tipo de robots blandos son m\u00e1s seguros y adecuados en aplicaciones que incluyan una interfaz entre m\u00e1quinas y humanos. Podr\u00e1n ser usados en\u00a0biomedicina\u00a0y en tecnolog\u00eda wearable.<\/p>\n<p>Los robots blandos son resistentes y tienen la capacidad de adaptarse a algunos entornos naturales mejor que los convencionales hechos de materiales r\u00edgidos. El nuevo enfoque de dise\u00f1o y fabricaci\u00f3n sienta las bases para una nueva generaci\u00f3n de\u00a0robots aut\u00f3nomos\u00a0capaces de realizar funciones m\u00e1s complejas, dicen los
