{"id":3396,"date":"2016-10-04T10:44:48","date_gmt":"2016-10-04T16:44:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=3396"},"modified":"2016-10-07T09:09:56","modified_gmt":"2016-10-07T15:09:56","slug":"chip-cuantico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/tech\/chip-cuantico\/","title":{"rendered":"Un chip cu\u00e1ntico para proteger nuestras comunicaciones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Un microprocesador desarrollado por investigadores espa\u00f1oles e italianos cifra los datos con n\u00fameros aleatorios generados por las propiedades de la luz cu\u00e1ntica<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Uno de los principales componentes necesarios a la hora de crear un sistema de comunicaciones cifrado es un generador de n\u00fameros aleatorios que haga que, aunque alguien intercepte los mensajes, le resulte imposible descifrarlos, o al menos hacerlo en un tiempo razonable como para que pueda hacer algo al respecto.<\/p>\n<p>Para esto se pueden usar algoritmos \u2013programas\u2013 generadores pseudoaleatorios de n\u00fameros que producen algo que se aproxima mucho a una sucesi\u00f3n de n\u00fameros aleatorios. Pero en realidad su funcionamiento depende de una serie de valores iniciales, de ah\u00ed que se les llame pseudoaleatorios, y de ah\u00ed la necesidad de probar con mucho cuidado estos algoritmos antes de decidir que se pueden usar. A\u00fan as\u00ed, ello no evita que puedan esconder alg\u00fan fallo dif\u00edcil de ver en su implementaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, son mucho m\u00e1s fiables los dispositivos que generan n\u00fameros aleatorios de verdad a partir de un proceso f\u00edsico como una ruleta, tirar los dados, o el ruido que generan los electrones al circular por un conductor para generar n\u00fameros verdaderamente aleatorios.<\/p>\n<p>En este campo, un chip desarrollado por un equipo de\u00a0investigadores del Instituto de Ciencias Fot\u00f3nicas de la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Catalu\u00f1a y otras instituciones espa\u00f1olas e italianas\u00a0promete llevar a los dispositivos m\u00f3viles una capacidad para generar n\u00fameros aleatorios nunca vista hasta ahora.<\/p>\n<p>El dispositivo genera los n\u00fameros aleatorios usando las propiedades cu\u00e1nticas de la luz, un proceso completamente al azar y que no hay manera de predecir.<\/p>\n<p>Est\u00e1 implementado en un circuito integrado fot\u00f3nico \u2013similar a los circuitos integrados electr\u00f3nicos\u2013 de 6 mil\u00edmetros por 2 mm, mucho m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o que otros generadores aleatorios por hardware, lo que facilitar\u00e1 su integraci\u00f3n en los citados dispositivos m\u00f3viles.<\/p>\n<p>Aparte de su tama\u00f1o lo que m\u00e1s destaca es su velocidad, ya que es capaz de generar varios gigabits por segundo de n\u00fameros aleatorios.<\/p>\n<p>Esto es suficiente para cifrar en tiempo real comunicaciones de voz o v\u00eddeo as\u00ed como la transferencia de datos a trav\u00e9s de las redes de comunicaciones, as\u00ed que pronto podr\u00edamos ver dispositivos m\u00f3viles que incorporan un nivel de cifrado como nunca antes hab\u00edamos visto, lo que
