{"id":3416,"date":"2016-10-06T13:30:24","date_gmt":"2016-10-06T19:30:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=3416"},"modified":"2016-10-07T08:58:19","modified_gmt":"2016-10-07T14:58:19","slug":"gesture-therapy-es-un-videojuego-desarrollado-por-mexicanos-que-ayuda-a-recobrar-la-movilidad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/tech\/gesture-therapy-es-un-videojuego-desarrollado-por-mexicanos-que-ayuda-a-recobrar-la-movilidad\/","title":{"rendered":"Gesture Therapy es un videojuego desarrollado por mexicanos que ayuda a recobrar la movilidad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>En M\u00e9xico hay muchas personas que por una u otra raz\u00f3n han perdido la movilidad de sus miembros superiores, el origen puede ser una embolia, par\u00e1lisis cerebral o alg\u00fan traumatismo<!--more-->, pero desde el\u00a0Instituto Nacional de Astrof\u00edsica, \u00d3ptica y Electr\u00f3nica\u00a0(INAOE)\u00a0han desarrollado un videojuego\u00a0que ser\u00e1 capaz de auxiliar a estos pacientes en su rehabilitaci\u00f3n, hasta lograr que recuperen su movilidad.<\/p>\n<p>El encargado del proyecto Enrique Sucar Succar comenta que\u00a0Gesture Therapy\u00a0consiste en una serie de juegos en las cuales el paciente interact\u00faa a trav\u00e9s de una manija que se desarroll\u00f3 especialmente para medir el movimiento en tres dimensiones y la presi\u00f3n que se ejerce sobre ella.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/1366_2000.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3417 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/1366_2000.jpg\" alt=\"1366_2000\" width=\"257\" height=\"193\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lo que se pretende es que a trav\u00e9s de la interacci\u00f3n del paciente con el videojuego, se lleve a cabo la rehabilitaci\u00f3n, haciendo \u00e9nfasis en movimientos determinados que\u00a0permitan una recuperaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s efectiva y r\u00e1pida. Como todo videojuego, este sistema est\u00e1 compuesto por software y hardware. En el hardware encontramos la manija, una computadora y la c\u00e1mara, en el software est\u00e1n los juegos que se han desarrollado en coordinaci\u00f3n con el Instituto Nacional de Neurolog\u00eda y Neurocirug\u00eda (INNN).<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es lo que hace realmente novedoso a este proyecto? Enrique Sucar Succar nos lo cuenta:<\/p>\n<p>El elemento m\u00e1s novedoso que tenemos en este proyecto es la capacidad de adaptaci\u00f3n del sistema al progreso del paciente, en ese apartado utilizamos tecnolog\u00eda de inteligencia artificial para ir midiendo qu\u00e9 tan bien lo est\u00e1 haciendo el paciente en cada ejercicio y con base en su rendimiento se incide en el nivel de dificultad de los juegos autom\u00e1ticamente, y as\u00ed se puede ir adaptando al estado del paciente<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente\u00a0se han llevado a cabo tres estudios cl\u00ednicos\u00a0en los que 20 personas adultas se han puesto a jugar para recuperar su movilidad, y se compararon sus resultados en el videojuego, con lo que hab\u00edan obtenido en la terapia ocupacional o tradicional, y los hallazgos muestran que los resultados son mejores con Gesture Therapy. Por otra parte, en el Instituto Nacional de Pediatr\u00eda, tambi\u00e9n se llevaron a cabo pruebas en las que los menores con par\u00e1lisis cerebral obtuvieron mejores resultados que los adultos.<\/p>\n<p>Un factor importante para lograr una mejora significativa, es el hecho de que los pacientes sienten\u00a0mayor motivaci\u00f3n y apego\u00a0por la terapia de (video)juego que por la terapia tradicional. Sin embargo, este sistema no &#8220;naci\u00f3&#8221; de la noche a la ma\u00f1ana, son ya 10 a\u00f1os de investigaciones que empiezan a ver sus frutos en las primeras pruebas cl\u00ednicas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/1366_2000-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3418 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/1366_2000-1.jpg\" alt=\"1366_2000-1\" width=\"269\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Desde el desarrollo del primer prototipo hasta hoy,\u00a0han sido muchos los requisitos a cumplir\u00a0para poder poner este juego en manos de los pacientes, entre ellos la validaci\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda, la creaci\u00f3n de protocolos adecuados y los comit\u00e9s de \u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora el reto est\u00e1 en que se logre dar el salto del prototipo a la empresa productora de este combo hardware\/software, de manera
