Un equipo de cient\u00edficos de la\u00a0Universidad de Harvard\u00a0acaba de dar el primer paso en esa direcci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El avance que este equipo ha reportado en la revista\u00a0Science Translational Medicine\u00a0es conseguir hacer crecer de nuevo la\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dentina\">dentina<\/a>, que es el tejido duro que forma el cuerpo de los dientes por debajo de la capa de esmalte. Para ello han utilizado un simple pulso l\u00e1ser de baja intensidad. Hasta ahora, los da\u00f1os en la dentina, como la\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/es.gizmodo.com\/crean-un-caramelo-con-azucar-que-reduce-el-riesgo-de-ca-1482664636\">caries<\/a>, solo se pod\u00edan reparar rellenando el hueco con material sint\u00e9tico (el popular empaste).<\/p>\n<p>Ya se hab\u00edan registrado antes informes sobre casos en los que la aplicaci\u00f3n de l\u00e1seres hab\u00eda logrado hacer crecer de nuevo tejido dental en condiciones de laboratorio, pero es la primera vez que se comprueba que este mismo efecto puede tener lugar en el interior de la boca. Lo que hace el l\u00e1ser es estimular las c\u00e9lulas madre para que comiencen a diferenciarse en c\u00e9lulas de dentina.<\/p>\n<p>El estudio se ha realizado solo con ratones, pero sus responsables conf\u00edan en poder, alg\u00fan d\u00eda, utilizarlo para revolucionar determinados tratamientos en la consulta del dentista<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carlos
