{"id":359,"date":"2015-09-10T11:44:01","date_gmt":"2015-09-10T17:44:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=359"},"modified":"2015-09-10T11:44:01","modified_gmt":"2015-09-10T17:44:01","slug":"descubren-un-veneno-de-avispa-que-mata-celulas-cancerosas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/ciencia\/descubren-un-veneno-de-avispa-que-mata-celulas-cancerosas\/","title":{"rendered":"Descubren un veneno de avispa que mata c\u00e9lulas cancerosas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El extra\u00f1o aliado contra el c\u00e1ncer s\u00f3lo afecta a las c\u00e9lulas enfermas y pasa por alto las sanas.<\/p>\n<p>La\u00a0paulistinha (Polybia paulista), una avispa brasile\u00f1a, es famosa en esos lares por su dolorosa picadura, sin embargo un nuevo estudio cient\u00edfico revel\u00f3 que su veneno podr\u00eda ayudar a combatir el c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con la investigaci\u00f3n de Paul Beales, profesor de la Universidad de Leeds, Inglaterra, y Jo\u00e3o Ruggiero Neto, de la\u00a0Universidad Estatal de Sao Paulo, Brasil, el veneno de la avispa contiene un p\u00e9ptido (MP1) con una extraordinariamente potente acci\u00f3n antibacteriana.<\/p>\n<p>Inicialmente se pens\u00f3 que el MP1 podr\u00eda ayudar a superar la creciente resistencia a los antibi\u00f3ticos que experimentan los pacientes con c\u00e1ncer. Pero la nueva investigaci\u00f3n demuestra que tambi\u00e9n ataca a las c\u00e9lulas cancerosas (s\u00f3lo de algunos tipos de c\u00e1ncer) y distingue entre c\u00e9lulas tumorales y sanas, no afectando a las segundas.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores usaron tres modelos de membranas celulares para comprobar su teor\u00eda. Vieron que el p\u00e9ptido sintetizado del veneno de la avispa se un\u00eda s\u00f3lo a las c\u00e9lulas tumorales.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cGracias a esta investigaci\u00f3n, en un futuro se podr\u00eda vivir una revoluci\u00f3n en las terapias contra el c\u00e1ncer, trayendo consigo una nueva y completa clase de f\u00e1rmacos antic\u00e1ncer\u201d, indic\u00f3\u00a0Paul Beales.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con el estudio, el veneno sintetizado de la paulistinha podr\u00eda ser un gran aliado en tratamientos de \u201cofensivas m\u00faltiples\u201d, es decir apoyando a otros f\u00e1rmacos.
