{"id":3977,"date":"2017-01-19T17:30:59","date_gmt":"2017-01-19T23:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=3977"},"modified":"2017-01-19T17:30:59","modified_gmt":"2017-01-19T23:30:59","slug":"nuevas-celulas-madre-sinteticas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/ciencia\/nuevas-celulas-madre-sinteticas\/","title":{"rendered":"Nuevas &#8220;c\u00e9lulas madre&#8221; sint\u00e9ticas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unos investigadores han desarrollado lo que podr\u00eda definirse como una versi\u00f3n sint\u00e9tica de una c\u00e9lula madre cardiaca.<!--more--> Este avance es obra de especialistas de la Universidad Estatal de Carolina del Norte, la de Carolina del Norte en Chapel Hill y la de Zhengzhou, las dos primeras en Estados Unidos y la \u00faltima en China.<\/p>\n<p>Las terapias con c\u00e9lulas madre funcionan promoviendo una reparaci\u00f3n end\u00f3gena, es decir, ayudan al tejido da\u00f1ado a autorrepararse mediante la segregaci\u00f3n de ciertos factores, incluyendo prote\u00ednas y materiales gen\u00e9ticos. Si bien las terapias con c\u00e9lulas madre pueden ser efectivas, est\u00e1n tambi\u00e9n asociadas con algunos riesgos, como la formaci\u00f3n de tumores y el rechazo por el sistema inmunitario. Asimismo, las propias c\u00e9lulas son fr\u00e1giles, requiriendo un almacenamiento cuidadoso y un proceso con m\u00faltiples pasos de clasificaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n antes de poder ser usadas.<\/p>\n<p>Con todo esto en mente, el equipo de Ke Cheng ha desarrollado la versi\u00f3n sint\u00e9tica de una c\u00e9lula madre cardiaca que podr\u00eda ser utilizada en aplicaciones para las que se vienen utilizando las naturales.<\/p>\n<p>Cheng y sus colegas fabricaron una micropart\u00edcula que simula una c\u00e9lula (una CMMP, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) a partir de PLGA (siglas inglesas de poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid)), un pol\u00edmero biodegradable y biocompatible. Los investigadores recolectaron despu\u00e9s prote\u00ednas de factor de crecimiento procedentes de c\u00e9lulas madre cardiacas humanas y las a\u00f1adieron al PLGA. Finalmente, recubrieron la part\u00edcula con una membrana de c\u00e9lula madre cardiaca.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando se probaron in vitro, tanto la CMMP como la c\u00e9lula madre cardiaca natural promovieron el crecimiento de c\u00e9lulas musculares cardiacas. Tambi\u00e9n ensayaron la CMMP en un modelo de rat\u00f3n con infarto de miocardio, y hallaron que su capacidad de unirse al tejido cardiaco y de promover el crecimiento tras un ataque al coraz\u00f3n era comparable con la de las c\u00e9lulas madre cardiacas aut\u00e9nticas.<\/p>\n<p>Debido a su estructura, la CMMP no puede replicarse, lo que reduce el riesgo de formaci\u00f3n de tumores.<\/p>\n<p>Las c\u00e9lulas madre sint\u00e9ticas son mucho m\u00e1s duraderas que las humanas, y pueden tolerar su congelaci\u00f3n y descongelaci\u00f3n. Tampoco tienen que ser derivadas de las propias c\u00e9lulas del paciente.
