Como cada primavera, la concentraci\u00f3n media de di\u00f3xido de carbono en la atm\u00f3sfera est\u00e1 a punto de cruzar la marca fijada el a\u00f1o anterior y alcanzar niveles nunca vistos por los seres humanos. El preocupante pron\u00f3stico de Richard Betts, el cient\u00edfico clim\u00e1tico que ayud\u00f3 a crear este baremo, es que superaremos el umbral de 410 ppm \u2014un 0,041% de la atm\u00f3sfera\u2014 en abril o este mismo mes, llegando a un promedio mensual de 410 ppm en mayo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/at2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4616 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/at2.jpg\" alt=\"at2\" width=\"555\" height=\"380\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tanto el pron\u00f3stico diario del Observatorio de Mauna Loa, en Haw\u00e1i, como el informe interanual del Servicio Meteorol\u00f3gico Nacional del Reino Unido, publicado la semana pasada, coinciden en que el umbral se romper\u00e1 en las pr\u00f3ximas semanas y que la media de mayo estar\u00e1 en torno a las 410 ppm. Depender\u00e1 del viento y de otros factores que influyen en las mediciones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Si bien es poco probable que 2017 registre un aumento de CO2 tan dr\u00e1stico como 2016, que tuvo un pico de emisiones por efecto de El Ni\u00f1o, se espera que el aumento de este a\u00f1o est\u00e9 por encima de la media: en torno a las 2,5 ppm. No obstante, superar la barrera de 410 partes por mill\u00f3n es un brutal recordatorio de que la actividad del hombre est\u00e1 alterando la composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica de nuestra atm\u00f3sfera,
