{"id":5080,"date":"2017-04-03T11:16:17","date_gmt":"2017-04-03T17:16:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/?p=5080"},"modified":"2017-04-03T11:16:17","modified_gmt":"2017-04-03T17:16:17","slug":"fabrican-tejido-cardiaco-3d-que-late-en-forma-armonica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/otech.uaeh.edu.mx\/noti\/ciencia\/fabrican-tejido-cardiaco-3d-que-late-en-forma-armonica\/","title":{"rendered":"Fabrican tejido cardiaco 3D que late en forma arm\u00f3nica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Los asuntos del coraz\u00f3n pueden ser complicados, pero cient\u00edficos de la Universidad de York, en Canad\u00e1, han encontrado la manera de crear tejido cardiaco en 3D que late en armon\u00eda sincronizada.<!--more--> El avance podr\u00eda favorecer una mejor comprensi\u00f3n de la salud cardiaca y mejorar los tratamientos para el coraz\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El profesor de qu\u00edmica de dicha Universidad, Muhammad Yousaf, y su equipo de estudiantes de posgrado han ideado m\u00e1s concretamente la manera de pegar tres tipos diferentes de c\u00e9lulas cardiacas, como con velcro, para \u201cfabricar\u201d tejido del coraz\u00f3n que lata al un\u00edsono.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta ahora, la mayor\u00eda de los tejidos in vitro 2D y 3D no han latido en armon\u00eda y han requerido de estructuras de sujeci\u00f3n o andamios para sujetar las c\u00e9lulas y hacerlas proliferar. Esto ha causado muchas limitaciones a estos desarrollos.<\/p>\n<p>Soluci\u00f3n<br \/>\nLo que han hecho Yousaf y su equipo ha sido desarrollar tejido latiente sin andamiaje usando tres tipos de c\u00e9lulas que se encuentran en el coraz\u00f3n (c\u00e9lulas contr\u00e1ctiles del m\u00fasculo cardiaco, c\u00e9lulas del tejido conectivo y c\u00e9lulas vasculares).<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores creen que este es el primer tejido cardiaco 3D\u00a0in vitro\u00a0con tres tipos de c\u00e9lulas que puede latir al un\u00edsono, como una unidad, en lugar de a intervalos diferentes. Afirman que el avance permitir\u00e1 realizar mejores pruebas sobre medicamentos y ayudar\u00e1 a eliminar medicamentos da\u00f1inos o t\u00f3xicos antes.<\/p>\n<p>Sustancia de pegado<br \/>\nPor otra parte, Yousaf y su equipo esperan que la sustancia utilizada para pegar las c\u00e9lulas cardiacas para formar el tejido 3D (llamada ViaGlue) suponga para otros investigadores una herramienta para crear y probar tejido in vitro 3D en sus propios laboratorios, de tal manera que facilite el estudio de las enfermedades del coraz\u00f3n y de los problemas con los trasplantes de este \u00f3rgano.<\/p>\n<p>Esto tiene una gran importancia, dado que las enfermedades cardiovasculares son la principal causa de muerte a nivel mundial y son responsables del 40% de las muertes en Am\u00e9rica del Norte. De hecho, fabricar tejido cardiaco 3D in vitro ha sido durante mucho tiempo un reto para los cient\u00edficos.<\/p>\n<p>Aunque el tejido cardiaco 3D se ha creado de momento a escala milim\u00e9trica, en un futuro se podr\u00edan hacer versiones m\u00e1s grandes, concluye Yousaf, quien ha creado ya una\u00a0start-up\u00a0llamada OrganoLinX para comercializar el ViaGlue y proporcionar tejidos 3D
