Sical\u00edptico, onic\u00f3fago o escible son t\u00e9rminos infrecuentes en el habla cotidiana, e incluso en desuso seg\u00fan el\u00a0Diccionario de la Real Academia. Hay gente, sin embargo, pendante hasta la m\u00e9dula que las usan con relativa frecuencia. Otros, como si fueran el indio de una pel\u00edcula del Oeste, prefiere no alejarse mucho del “Ola ke ase”.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, podemos incurrir en errores estad\u00edsticos si analizamos el habla de una persona a fin de inferir su riqueza l\u00e9xica. Para evitarlo,\u00a0se ha desarrollado un algoritmo que lo establece con seguridad.<\/p>\n

\u00bfD\u00f3nde est\u00e1 la riqueza l\u00e9xica?<\/h2>\n

Gracias a este algoritmo, de hecho,\u00a0se ha llevado a cabo<\/a>\u00a0un estudio por parte de investigadores del grupo Vern\u00e1culo Urbano Malague\u00f1o (VUM) de la Universidad de M\u00e1laga.<\/p>\n

En concreto, para el trabajo se ha utilizado un corpus ling\u00fc\u00edstico del espa\u00f1ol hablado en la ciudad de M\u00e1laga.\u00a0Un material oral que fue obtenido tras m\u00e1s de 80 horas de grabaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

El art\u00edculo, publicado en la revista\u00a0Spanish in Context, permite conocer la diversidad l\u00e9xica usada en el intercambio ling\u00fc\u00edstico y determinar cu\u00e1ndo la densidad del l\u00e9xico aumenta y cu\u00e1ndo decrece en la conversaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En ese sentido, los factores m\u00e1s importantes el contacto con los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, la ocupaci\u00f3n profesional, la educaci\u00f3n y la clase social. Seg\u00fan\u00a0Antonio M. \u00c1vila Mu\u00f1oz, responsable de la investigaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n

La relaci\u00f3n que tiene el individuo con los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, por ejemplo, influye en gran medida en su integraci\u00f3n con la cultura general y los valores y normas de la comunidad.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed, por ejemplo, los hablantes con mayor contacto con la prensa escrita obtuvieron un 3,1% m\u00e1s de puntuaci\u00f3n en textos de l\u00e9xico m\u00e1s avanzado que\u00a0los participantes del grupo con un contacto m\u00e1s restringido a la televisi\u00f3n. Por otro lado, en el \u00e1mbito laboral los resultados recogen la evidencia de que el mayor porcentaje (el 53%) de los textos m\u00e1s complejos fueron los registrados por empresarios y personas con profesiones t\u00e9cnicas, cargos medios y funcionarios.<\/p>\n

Finalmente,\u00a0la clase social tambi\u00e9n parece muy relevante: en la muestra analizada el l\u00e9xico fluctu\u00f3 entre las 862 y las 3.055 palabras de media seg\u00fan el grupo social al que pertenec\u00edan los hablantes.<\/p>\n
