Esta gu\u00eda pl\u00e1stica de tres v\u00edas, que funciona como una suerte de f\u00e9rula\u00a0para el nervio ci\u00e1tico, se injerta conectando en cada extremo las terminales da\u00f1adas del tejido, encausando su regeneraci\u00f3n para reconectarse de manera adecuada, asegurando una rehabilitaci\u00f3n \u00f3ptima.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t1TiyPDRJ60\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n, publicada en el \u00faltimo n\u00famero de\u00a0Advanced Functional Materials, v\u00eda\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.medicaldaily.com\/one-step-closer-wolverine-researchers-created-first-its-kind-3d-printed-guide-regrows-353534?\">Medical Daily<\/a>, asegura que esta gu\u00eda ha ayudado a regenerar funciones sensoriales y motoras en los nervios da\u00f1ados de una rata tras su implementaci\u00f3n, logrando con ello un avance importante en este terreno, seg\u00fan afirma\u00a0Michael McAlpine, miembro de la Universidad de Minnesota y l\u00edder del proyecto.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con la investigaci\u00f3n, para la elaboraci\u00f3n de esta gu\u00eda se procedi\u00f3 justamente a realizar primero un escaneo en 3D del nervio ci\u00e1tico de la rata herida, para evaluar la forma del implante, procediendo luego a\u00a0imprimirlo en 3D utilizando silicio. Tal y como muestra el video, la gu\u00eda fue montada con algunos\u00a0puntos entre cada extremo, dise\u00f1ados para ayudar a la regeneraci\u00f3n de los nervios da\u00f1ados, ayudando a recuperar las funciones sensoriales y motoras. Al t\u00e9rmino de\u00a012 semanas\u00a0la rata tuvo una rehabilitaci\u00f3n notoria, imposible de lograr en otras condiciones.<\/p>\n<p>El escaneo del nervio y la impresi\u00f3n 3D de la &#8220;f\u00e9rula&#8221; tom\u00f3 cerca de una hora en realizarse, siendo la reconexi\u00f3n de los nervios el punto m\u00e1s tardado del proceso.
